Awkward moments in Dorne... {TAG: Soma, Sinbad, Kocoum}

After Eric had left Sinbad, back in the tavern, he had rode back to Castle Black with the certainty he had to be sent beyond the wall. That was what he told SInbad too when the two had to say goodbye, with the promise to meet right after his mission. Surprisingly enough, though, when Sinbad had reached Castle Black his commander had changed his mind about his mission. The situation with the white walkers was getting serious, they needed more help and apparently it was time to pay a visit to Dorne. He had never been in Dorne before, but it surely couldn’t be worse that beyond the wall! Beside, he had gathered that Sinbad was heading there too, so maybe after his mission he could even try to find him… He had rode for a while, then took a ship to arrive faster, so now there he was, inside the dornish palace in Sunspear, looking wary around the hall, waiting for someone to receive him as one of the servants had promised

A crow from the nights watch had just arrived in Dorne, in his home. Oh how curious this was. Soma had never laid eyes upon any nights watch men before. He had heard that there were rarely any pretty males among the crows. Maybe one or three over there at the nights watch. The rest were just burly, older men. Not alluring at all. Soma strolled along the halls, following after the servant who spoke up about a young crow here to speak to the Prince. Hadn't another servant told him about Sinbad's arrival as well? Oh well. Sinbad didn't need to be escorted and such. The staff were used to the Greyjoy male making himself at home here for a bit. As he and the servant strolled down the halls, they finally came upon a wary male looking around the palace. "A crow as a guest at the Dornish Palace. Who would've thought." Soma proclaimed out loudly, as he took in the sight of the male. Oh now he was a pretty one indeed. Lucky him, Soma didn't have to see one of those burly brutes in his castle. "So what's your business with me? Work or pleasure?" Soma teased the other male, giving him a sly smirk. Wonder if he could ruffle the feathers of the male.

As Soma arrived, escorted by many men, Eric turned toward him, waiting for him to approach before he would bow in front of him. "My lord." he greeted politely "I'm here for work matter. Serious matters, I'm afraid." he added taking a letter from under his coat and offering it to him. He vaguely knew the content of the letter, the lord commander had explained it to him but he gave it already closed and sealed: the commander had written informing the prince about the problem of the white walkers, a threat that was becoming more real with every passing day. All the houses in the seven kingdoms were asked to help, and that included the Martells. The commander asked for money and men. Eric didn't know any other detail, but he was pretty sure that there was nothing more.

Kocoum followed Soma to the hall where they were supposed to meet this crow from the very north. Wondering what he thought of the warmer weather down here in Dorne. Would the crow turn his cloak and decide not to go back up there. Now that would be amusing.
Soma made his grand entrance as usual. Perhaps the looks of the crow actually made Soma a little playful.
"Prince Soma. Not lord." He noted to the crow. Had the nightswatch sent some rookie to negotiate serious matters with the prince of Dorne? Hopefully not.

Soma pouted a bit as the crow’s feathers were definitely not ruffled by his earlier teasing question. Well that was no fun. His golden gaze landed on the letter before Soma took the letter and gave it a scan over. No doubt it was a letter for supplies or men. Probably even both. That’s what the Nights watch always asked for most of the time. Didn’t they know it was hard to try and get any Dorne males to volunteer for the nights watch. Give up this warm weather for the freezing cold and such. Not really a favorable fact. “Serious matters from the Nights watch tend to be about more men and such. Can’t they bring good news…at least once?” Soma huffed childishly, before glancing to the side at Kocoum and waving his hand a bit. “I know I’m spoiled. But let the mistakes slide for a bit.” He gave his cousin a cheeky grin.

A young female dornish female ran up to Soma’s side, pushing a few of the other guards out of her way before she tapped at Soma’s shoulder impatiently. Soma glanced over at the female servant, amused by her actions and antics. One of the reasons to why he kept her still. She knew how to get her job…and she didn’t care much that he was the Prince. She just saw a childish, spoiled man that she served. She whispered into his ear before jabbing her thumb in the other direction. “Please try to please all of your guests so they don’t bother me with questions.” Soma chuckled softly at her comment, winking at the dornish servant as he glanced over in that direction to see a familiar person heading towards them. “I’ll try hard as I can…I see that you’re back in Dorne I see.”

He didn’t know what that servant’s problem was. He had been bored and just wanted to see Soma for a bit. Well no matter. “Traveling is in my blood, is it not?” Sinbad remarked out, giving his friend a sly grin. His gaze traveled over the guards, landing on Kocoum and lingering before moving away quickly. He was about to remark something out to Kocoum but his voice caught a bit at the sight of the crow. “E-Eric? I thought you went beyond the wall?” Sinbad was surprised to see him here, but was glad to see the male once again. Though as his mind wandered back over to Kocoum and Soma…Oh god. Don’t let those two start.

"I'm sorry, my prince." He corrected himself as Kocoum made him notice his mistake, nodding toward Kocoum "I'm not really used to use such a title." he added honestly in a little justification. At Soma's remark he shook his head "I doubt there will ever be good news coming from the wall." At least, he never received any.
He hoped that Soma would give him an answer quickly, he didn't care much for what he wanted to do but if he could leave soon, he could start looking around for Sinbad.
Before he could receive any answer, though, a servant girl with quite rude manners informed Soma of a second guest. He could hear his voice before he saw him. It couldn't be... He had to be imagining it... It was almost as the young Greyjoy had materialized from his thought. He turned to look at him with wide eyes before he managed to regain his composure. "The Lord Commander changed my mission." he replied wary to Sinbad. Now what were the odds? Three years without seeing each other and suddenly they bumped into one another twice in such short time! And while he was concluding a mission... that never happened before... but no, he had no reason to worry, if they asked, they were just old friends. There was no way they could suspect what kind of relationship they shared...

Kocoum sighed in annoyance as the servant girl barged in like that. Kocoum had tried to get it through to her that she shouldn't be so informal in front of guests. She might not care about them and Soma might not care for appearances but that didn't mean others wouldn't either.
Upon Sinbad's entrance he noted that the confidence waned at the sight of the crow. Imediately turning his attention from the Greyjoy to the man named Eric. "I take it you two know each other." He noted turning his attention to Sinbad who seemed more flustered than the crow. Thinking that perhaps there was more between the two than just friendship. A small smirk tugging on the corner of his lip. This might turn out to be interesting.

"As always." Soma muttered in a low sigh, giving the male a sympathetic smile. It wasn't Soma who had to endure such hardships up there at the wall. This man had to. Life can't please everyone, Soma thought to himself before taking in Sinbad's sudden appearance. His molten golden gaze settled on both his friend and the crow. He had gotten the same vibe from the two, just as Kocoum did. His friend definitely knew the other male for sure due to already letting it spill that he had a clue of the crow's whereabouts supposingly. Soma wondered for a bit if this crow and his friend had something going on. Sinbad really did like the pretty boys, even though he went for a more manly male such as Kocoum. Though Sinbad had been the bottom at that point. If there was something between the two, Soma couldn't help wonder if his friend didn't mind sharing. "Seems like it." Soma remarked out with a sly smirk, his gaze flitting from male to male with curiosity.

Sinbad sighed out heavily as both of the males had already pointed out that the two knew each other. He wondered to himself for a bit to whether he should tell the truth or not. This was Dorne after all. Bastards and sexuality wasn't a problem. And surely no one here would speak to any other nights watchmen about the matter. But this was Eric. He would be wary of anyone finding about their relationship. Even though Soma knew that Sinbad had a thing with a crow, Soma just didn't know what the male had looked like. So far, everything..was swell for now. "I guess that wasn't hard to figure out, hm?" Sinbad remarked, glancing over at Kocoum and giving him a sardonic grin. Before glancing back over to Eric. "Nights watch trying to recruit?"

Eric didn't say anything at Kocoum's question, the man was looking at Sinbad, no at him, and he felt already uncomfortable enough without need to give explanations. He kept telling himself that they couldn't know, that it was ok, but he couldn't shake the uneasy feeling... At Sinbad's question he simply nodded, avoiding to look directly at him. Gods why, why did he have to find himself in such a situation? Showing a self control that he didn't feel at all, he directed his attention once again on Soma "My prince, now that you know the matter you can either give me an answer or write to the lord commander, whichever way you prefer, and if you don't have further questions I'll take my leave" He could wait for Sinbad somewhere else, somewhere where there were no people around... no one to notice them... he just hoped that Sinbad would get that...

Kocoum noticed the grin Sinbad gave him. Just slightly arching his eyebrow at that. Deciding to just ignore the sardonic grin he had been given and concentrated on the guy in black. "What is your hurry? You have come a long way from the wall all the way to Dorne." He glanced at his cousin. "I am sure the prince would enjoy your company for dinner." If nothing else the crow could entertain the prince with his stories. "And perhaps lord Greyjoy wants to attend too." He suggested, glancing at Sinbad now too. Wanting to see if that would wipe the grin away from his lips.

Soma huffed a bit at the crow’s comment, crossing his arms over his chest. “I shall write to your commander. It’s a bit hard to give an answer so quickly, especially since the men in Dorne are not fond of the harsh cold.” But they could do use with the prisoners that Dorne had. His grandfather would want to be rid of such thieves and rapists. “Why leave so quickly? You just got here, so why not enjoy the warm weather and wonderful waters as long as you can?” Soma remarked, tilting his head to the side. His smile brightened at Kocoum’s suggestion, nodding his head eagerly. “That sounds like an idea to me!”

Sinbad forced back a grimace as he took notice that Eric was avoiding his gaze. Come on now. At least try to make eye contact. Or speak to me like a friend, like in the days before their relationship had started. He knew the situation was difficult for Eric, but he needed to just forget his fears and such for a short moment. But that plan was quickly shot down when Kocoum had suggested that Eric joined Soma for dinner. Also adding that perhaps Sinbad wanted to join as well. The young Greyjoy quirked his eyebrows at the other male, his sardonic grin diminishing. Sinbad still needed to speak to the male alone and get back at him for the cabin incident. “I’m going to be here for a while. So might as well attend.” Sinbad remarked with a small shrug.

Soma glanced at both Kocoum and Sinbad before murmuring, "Still wondering if you're going to capture the king again, dear cousin." He gave Kocoum an amusing smirk, his playful eyes flitting over to Sinbad.

Eric was surprised and frustrated by the invitation. Invitation to who Sinbad was asked to take part as well! He didn't think that they had ever ate together without after... no, those were dangerous thoughts, he couldn't afford to go there, he couldn't afford to blush in public. He would have gladly said no, except that refusing the prince's invitation would be considered deeply rude "I-I don't want to be a bother..." he replied looking in turn at Kocoum and Soma, still avoiding to look at Sinbad "but if you insist..." he forced himself to add, even though he really hoped they would set them free. He knew that his hosts couldn't understand that, but he feared that to Sinbad his expression would be far too clear, that he could easily get how much he would have wanted to just escape...

Kocoum was actually satisfied how the grin vanished from Sinbad's face. He had a feeling the always so joyful Soma would agree to the idea of having the two for dinner guests.
Glancing at Soma he only smirked. "It has already been captured once. I have no need to make it into a habit..." He muttered back.
Moving to the man named Eric. "Well then. I assume you want to freshen up before the dinner." Dustin some sand off the black cloak. "Follow me if you please..." He said to the man in black. Leading him away from the two troublemakers. Asking a servant to bring the crow some water and soap and perhaps a clean shirt too.
Pushing Eric into a room with the things he needed to freshen up. Staying outside the door waiting for the other to do his thing. "I should probably warn you that the food can be spicy to you." He smirked a little, knowing full well that the Dornish food was spicy by default and often enough spiced with a dash of snake poison. Just a spice, to sting the tongue, never to kill.

Soma shook his head slightly at the male's answer. "You wouldn't be a bother! It would be a delight!" he remarked out to the male with a bright grin. "I do insist." he quickly quipped with glittering eyes at the prospect of stories told by the young crow. He quirked an eyebrow at Kocoum's response to his question, finding this a tad bit amusing. "Oh is that so?" he murmured back to his cousin, smirking slightly as he watched as Kocoum approached the crow.

Sinbad sighed softly under his breath as Eric still refused to look over at him. Stubborn much, Sinbad thought to himself while catching the sight of Soma staring over at him in amusement as he murmured something to Kocoum. What are you two up too? Sinbad though to himself as he watched as Kocoum approached Eric and lead him away from them. He wrinkled his nose, feeling a bit unsure if he really wanted the dornish male around Eric. He especially didn't want Eric around the male who took the Geyjoy's virginity. Sinbad glanced over at Soma, narrowing his eyes at his friend. "Your guard up to something...again?" he remarked out in a questionable tone.

Soma smirked devilishly, shrugging his shoulders nonchalantly. "Who knows. He's quite persuasive with people...wouldn't you say?" Soma purred in delight as his eyes gleamed over at Sinbad in gleefulness. Before he started off towards the direction of the dining room to wait for Kocoum and Eric. Sinbad gritted his teeth as he followed after his friend, already knowing now for sure that Soma knew about the cabin incident. "Don't you even start."

Eric had to surrender to the idea that he had to stay. At least it was only for dinner... then he could rush away. He had to force himself to smile and nod politely, first toward Soma and then toward his guard. He didn't really appreciate the closeness and the fact he touched him, even just to wipe some dust away... it was simply an invasion of his private space and a too friendly gesture, but nonetheless he followed the man as he ordered so. Only before he left he allowed himself to glance toward Sinbad, but he wasn't sure he noticed him, he was busy talking to Soma... how did he know the prince anyway???
He followed the guard through some corridors until he left him in a room warning him about the spicy food "Thank you" he simply replied, not being sure if he liked the prospect of such kind of food... but he wasn't really hungry anyway. As he was left alone in the room with water and soap and some fresh clothes, he sighed and started undressing himself. He started thinking that maybe going beyond the wall instead would have been better...

He waited outside the room. Rather bored. The crow wasn't much of a talker was he?
"So how do you know lord Greyjoy?" He asked through the door. It was hard to imagine Sinbad to visit the wall from his own free will. He doubted there was much to fuck up there.
"Are you ready soon?" He asked thinking the man had gotten enough time to get ready. He stopped a servant and discreetly told him to take the crows clothes to be cleaned while they were dining. This way the crow would have to stay over night.

As they reached the dining room, Soma headed over to his seat at the dining table and sat down. He raised his hand a bit and was about to say something until Sinbad raised his hand quickly. “Don’t you dare even start about Kocoum.” The Greyjoy scowled over at Soma, pointing his finger over at Soma. The Dornish Prince just pouted a bit as he leaned back in his chair, shrugging his shoulders. “Damn. Wasn’t what I was going to start about, but I guess I’ll go to that subject with my cousin in the conversation.” Soma huffed out as he crossed his arms over his chest. “So….how do you know the crow again?” Soma tilted his head lightly at his friend, narrowing his eyes at the male. “Didn’t you have a relationship with a crow that ended badly?” Soma questioned out in a suspicious tone.
Sinbad breathed out heavily as he sat down in one of the chairs. “I already told you…I did…” The Greyjoy wasn’t going to lie to Soma about Eric. “Some thing happened recently, Soma.” He commented out as he rubbed the back of his neck a bit. Soma quirked an eyebrow at what the male said, tilting his head to the side. “And what was such?” Sinbad glanced down at the table before back over to the friend who had gotten him through his heartbreak. Sinbad was tired of lying. He had done that enough when he had been officially with Eric. He wasn’t going to hide his rekindlement from Soma. “That was him. That was Eric. Long story short. I may…be back with him.” Eric sighed out as he jabbed a finger in the direction to where they came from .

Soma’s eyes widened as he took in what his friend just told him. He stared at him for a few minutes before speaking out, “Are you an imbecile?!”

Eric tried to get it over with quickly, washing himself as fast as he could, he just wasn’t feeling comfortable doing so in a stranger’s place. Then, when it was time to put on again his clothes, he noticed that some clean clothes had been left for him. Now, it would have been rude to refuse them, especially since his own clothes were filthy. There was only one problem: she shirt was withe, and the pants in a light orang shade. He hadn’t put on anything that wasn’t black in 7 long years… he wondered if that would be considered breaking his oath…
“Ah… we… we travel together… from time to time…” he half-lied to Kocoum as he asked the question through the door, hoping he wouldn’t ask more. He wondered once again how he had found himself in such a situation then, as the guard rushed him asking if he was ready, he sighed and put on the clean clothes. They were lighter than what he was used to, they were made for the dornish climate, not the coldness of the wall. And they were also more reveling: the shirt had a deep v-neck that revealed a good part of his bare chest. That was so terribly uncomfortable, especially knowing that Sinbad would have seen him with such clothes and the other male had never witnessed him wearing anything but heavy crow clothes… well, when he had clothes on, of course. Swallowing and trying to gather some courage, he opened the door and joined again the guard “Ready.” He simply said before they started moving toward the dining room.

Kocoum let out a deep breath while the other was lying to him through the door. Well perhaps not lying. But being vague and clearly avoiding the truth at all cost it seemed like. Well Kocoum was patient and the night was long. It would remain to be seen if Eric could manage to keep up that facade of his.
Once Eric emerged he led the crow towards the dining room. Seeing Soma and Sinbad already seated there. Moving to sit himself too.
"Now what have you two been plotting?" He asked his cousin.

Sinbad cursed under his breath at Soma's reaction, looking quite annoyed with being called an imbecile. "Come on now, no need for insults." he scowled under his breath as he brought his hands up in fake defense. The Dorne prince just glared at him in annoyance, tapping his finger on the table consistently. His friend was surely an imbecile. Had the male forgotten his past when Soma had taken care of him during his heartbreak? There were even times when Soma had to hide the liquor away from Sinbad so he didn't drink till he passed out everyday or do some crazy shit while drunk. Like swimming in one of the pools at Sunspear, before passing out in the water. Thankfully one of the servants had found him before it had been too late.

"I should castrate you." Soma hissed over at Sinbad, his molten gold eyes a blazing. He quickly became still once Eric and Kocoum entered the dining room. His eyes upon Eric immediately. Sinbad grimaced a bit as he saw who Soma had his eye on. "Soma..." Soma just put his hand up while he smiled over at Eric. "So crow, how about some stories? Like a recent one?" Soma asked with a perfectly normal smile with a little too much sweetness added to it. "Like how you snaked back into someone's life?" Soma added with that sweet smile still, though his voice had a little edge to it. Serpents weren't too keen on other serpents that were outside their territory. "Don't have to answer him." Sinbad remarked out, before glancing over at Kocoum. "I suggest you get ready for someone to have their temper tantrum."

Eric followed the dornish guard without a word, just feeling really self-conscious about how he looked and what he was wearing... if he hadn't looked ridiculous, he would have gladly merged the deep v-neck of his shirt to cover his chest. As they entered the room, he could feel the prince's glance on him before he talked in a sweet tone, but there was something weird in his voice, something had changed in his attitude... but it was what Soma said that made him shiver. He had just time to take a seat, not far from Soma and in front of Sinbad, when the prince asked him that insidious question. Did he know? Did Sinbad talk? How? Why? What had happened in the little time he was gone? He felt suddenly sick, there was no way to misunderstand his question... He managed to show no reaction, except for the fact that he became as pale as a ghost "I'm sorry... I don't know what you are talking about..." he replied, even if he quite knew that lying at that point was pretty useless...

Kocoum perked his ears at the sound of Soma's voice turning a little too sweet even for Soma. Like one would add honey to mask the taste of poison. He only frowned slightly. What had changed for the prince so quickly? His eyes had fallen on Sinbad as being the cause. Well if that was the case then it was up to Sinbad to fix it.
Kocoum decided to just take some wine and wait for the things to either settle or escalate. As long as nothing threatened Soma's life it seemed fine. "As long as they are just talking and no one gets hurt I think I will just stay out of this." He replied with a little smirk directed at Sinbad.

Soma's eyes narrowed as he took notice of the male's skin paling quickly at hi sudden question. So Sinbad had been telling the truth. Was the crow simply dumb? Or just avoiding his question out of fear. Most likely both since it was definitely futile to lie to him now. "I know who you are...Eric," he remarked out in distaste as the male's name left his tongue past his lips. "So drop the act." he quickly quipped in a stern tone, tilting his head to the side at the male. Side glancing over at Sinbad who made a comment to Kocoum. Soma chuckled a bit under his breath, nodding his head lightly. "You best do that instead."

Sinbad glowered over at Kocoum, having the urge to kick him under the table. "Leave him alone, Soma." He growled out darkly as he quickly took notice of Soma's sweet stern tone while addressing Eric. Sinbad glanced behind his shoulder over at Eric, his eyes widening a bit. If this had been a different situation, Sinbad would've definitely been in awe at the sight of Eric in Dorne clothes. But he only took notice of his skin color of his face. It was definitely paler than usual. "I told you I drowned my sorrows in Dorne." he murmured.

His eyes widened as Soma called him by his name: he knew. He knew of him and Sinbad... damn the man! Why, why did he have to talk? He felt like he was living a nightmare. For the first time someone who wasn't Sinbad was actually taking note of who he really was. He felt overexposed, it was like his soul had been put naked in front of the prince. "You didn't tell me you told this much" he hissed to Sinbad, finally flashing his eyes over him. There were both anger and fear in his deep blue eyes, he was feeling trapped, he just wanted to escape... why, why, why? He had dreaded something like that his whole life...

Sinbad grimaced deeply as the male hissed that over at him, fear and anger flashing in those blue eyes of Eric's. "I had been a drunken mess when I had spilled about us to him." Sinbad scowled darkly, not cringing at all from the male's gaze. He clenched his fists tightly before adding, "Besides I done with the damn secrets. They're what ruined us before." Sinbad sighed out heavily before glancing away. And he wasn't going to lie to his friend either. Sinbad didn't lie at all about Eric when they had been together. When Soma asked about Sinbad's life and such, he just told him that he had found someone that he dearly cared about. And loved.

"Now now, no need to lash out at him." Soma remarked out in a warning tone as he narrowed his eyes over at Eric.
