We need o talk {TAG Marina}

That morning Reth had been at the new council meeting, they had been through some kingdom issues, minor ones, mainly economical. He had been professional and business like during the whole reunion, he could read into Marina’s eyes some fear he would tease her again but he had kept an impeccable attitude, being polite and gentle. He was surprised to see she could show after all some attitude at command, during the meeting she was well aware of what she was doing and she managed to find some good solutions. A pleasant surprise about the little queen. Only once the meeting was over he reached her and whispered, careful not to be seen “come in my bedroom in one hour.” He didn’t want to be rude, but it was a matter he intended to discuss in private and he wanted no one to know. he was now waiting in his room, the hour had almost passed and the queen should have arrived soon. That was, if she was going to go at all. But he had to discuss something important with her, and if she wasn’t going, then he would have had to go to her…

Unsure what to think about it Marina found herself once again in front of the door to Reths chamber. The way he had invited her was so ... but would he really meant if that way? Eventually she shook her head and knocked at the door waiting for his response. He definitely only invited her because of buisness reason or at least not because of sexual reasons at all ... that was however she told herself though a tiny part of her wished to be proofed wrong.

As he heard the knocking on the door he grinned: she did learn her lesson, after all. "Come in"

As she heard his voice allowing her in she did so right away. "So then here am I. What is it you needed to invite me ... here?" After all it still was his bedroom and not just an office or lounge or anything like that. At least however there was no naked maid around. Since what happened before Marina definitely didn´t wish to get again into that kind of delicate situation.

"Well, hello to you too, Marina." he said with a smirk, calling her once again by her first name. He had been impeccable at the meeting, but it seemed like in their private meeting he wasn't going to let go of the privilege she accidentally gave him "Please, take a sit. I need to discuss something with you and I wanted as much discretion as possible. There are no ears in my bedroom but mine and yours, I couldn't be sure for the other rooms"

"Ah I see." Marina replied sitting down on a couch near by. "And what would be that important?"

"You seem disappointed..." he teased her "I'm really sorry, Marina, but I wouldn't dare inviting the queen in my bed like that..." oh, he was enjoying teasing her... "Anyway, I've been informed about a certain meeting you had with a girl, a girl who said had some vision..."

"Oh I know you wouldn´t though it sure would be interesting to know how you would do it then." She replied with a flirty smirk before coughing and getting serious again. "I assume you mean the young Lady Reed don´t you? Well then how much do you know about the vision she told me about?"

"Oh, Marina, don't tempt me. You couldn't handle it." he replied shaking his head before he got serious again, changing subject "Not much, to be honest. I only received words it was important and serious, but you managed to have enough secrecy. Something I wanted to keep having..."

"Oh? Well she told me about quite a questionable matter and story. In her vision she saw for gods, gods of the old believe and one of them was something like the god or at least leader of the white walkers who Lady Reed saw marching against the wall and breaking it down moving south." Marina answered with a little shaking voice of hers. Even though she had time to think about the vision over and over again, discuss it and make already plans in case it really proofed to be true ... there was still a lot of fear she felt queen or no queen, powerfull in more than one way or powerless in any sort of way.

Reth's jaw dropped: was this all about? Visions of gods? He wouldn't have considered it relevant if he knew... but it looked like Marina considered that much more important than he thought... seeing her so in shock, he bent over and caressed her hand, trying to calm her down. "Do you think there is truth in her words?"

Suprised by his gentle touch though confused about it Marina looked up to Reth almost blushing. "Don´t worry I´m not that foolish to believe her right away. Still though there might be some truth in it since at least it got revealed that the white walkers indeed seem to gain more presence and are even seen marching south. It´s just ... the uncertainty which makes me worry about the vision. After all it was also believed that dragons have died many years ago but my aunt proofed otherwise." Shocked about revealing so much about her feelings and thoughts to Reth, even though he was her hand, Marina immediately stood up just to find herself frozen for a moment. What should she do now? She wanted to run away but this action of hers would only put her in an even worse light. Still she felt very umcomfortable since she just embarrassed herself once again. "I ... uh ... ehm ..." Blushing for real she felt out of words. Just how could she explain herself?

Now that was some piece of a news! The white walkers were indeed moving. That was something worth worrying about, he could easily understand her feelings and he was glad she was sharing them with him. They needed trust to work together. He was a bit surprised when she suddenly stood up: she was such a clumsy thing... And this time he surprised himself thinking that the red color on her cheeks made her really beautiful. He had to shake away the thought. Patting on the sofa where he was sitting, he invited her to sit down again, this time next to him. "I perfectly understand, and I think that, seeing the circumstances, you're acting wisely." he said encouraging, and he actually did mean that "Please now, sit down and tell me more about the white walkers. How do you know they are marching south, and what precautions are you taking?"

Suprised by the much of positive support from Reth, her cheeks only turned redder. Still when signalised her to sit down all she could think of was that she definitely, under any circumstances, would never do as he offered ... just to find herself sitting next to him only a moment after and definitely much closer then her brain wanted even though her feelings said otherwise. Again her blushing rised. This was just far too strange that she could handle."Well I got the information from the Lord commander himself. He paid me a visit the other day." Marina answered unable to really look at Reth. They just looked too similar.

Gosh she was pretty when she was embarrassed! But the subject was too important to think of something else... He nodded at her information "So what are you doing about that? Do you already have a plan?"

"Well for now we´re preparing for the worst. Sending more men than ever to the wall. Supporting the night´s watch as best as we can to repair and strengthen the wall and sending out more troups as well as more frequently to keep up to date of the events beyond the wall. For the rest of the vision however I set spies on it to see if there is proof just like for the white walkers." Marina replied after finally getting back some seriousness.

Reth nodded to everything she said "Well that sounds good. I think you should also think of gathering an army, if you receive new bad news... I can gather men from Essos too..." He kept a straight, business-like face but somehow he found himself even closer to the queen...

Marina couldn´t help but laugh, a lot more awkwardly that she would ever intend. Oh if Reth only knew how much trouble there could or might even be on the way. "Oh I really hope it won´t come to this. After all I heard there is also pretty much going on in Essos. The dothraki getting more bruttally and even successing in attacking bigger cities of importance, that growing circle of extremist believers of Rhollor ..." At that moment she was close to cry though she was still able to cover herself and didn´t let it happen. Still all the bad news were waighing heavily on her shoulders. What would she do to just be a normal woman and have some fun in her life instead of worrying about the people of seven kingdoms and more.

"Well, yes, he situation in Essos is quite... complicated... but Dothraki and believers are easier to handle than white walkers..." she suddenly seemed overwhelmed by all of this. She did try to hide it but he could still see it. Poor little queen... Instinctively he took again her hand "There are always going to be problems, don't worry too much. You just have to try to prioritize some things... beside, I'm here to help"

She moved her hand a bit away though not forcing Reth to let go of her that quickly. He really must have a terrible view on her seeing how easily he could catch her off guard from something that someone like him could easily handle without breaking down in front of a stranger. Being to slow to eventually stop a tear running down her cheek she turned her head not wanting to even show her hand herself crying. "I know. Thank you."

She turned away from him but he could still hear her voice shaking. Oh he got well how preassure of that kind could make that effect... he had learnt to be in power at a very young age, she was evidently still learning. "It's ok, my queen. You don't need to hide." he called her his queen again, even if they both now knew she wasn't really his queen. His voice was gentle, soft, he really wanted to comfort her "Handling stress is not easy, I know. But you don't need to hide, not from me."

She backed off a little. Even though what she wanted most in this moment was to find herself comforted in his arms Marina couldn´t allow any kind of such actions hand or no hand he still was a stranger, an awefully important stranger and over all from royalty. There was just no way in her opinion she could allow herself to share her emotions with Reth. In the end she only would grow feelings for him which would never be reciprocated. "I´m ... fine. ... Thank you." Still the look he gave her ... Oh screw it! she thought to herself moving closer again. Still she at least had to give him a chance since after all he already has been so kind and comforting to her. Facing him again with a gentle smile of hers she laid her free hand on his. "I really appreciate what you´re just doing for me. "Chuckling she added, "Even though we both now I´m not even really your queen Reth."

She was glad to see she was opening a bit with him, even if in the beginning it looked like she was going to push him away. He smiled back to her "Well, I do understand what you're going trough..." he wanted to wipe her tears, but he had to keep himself... that wasn't very appropriate... he gave her a smile, it was the first time she reciprocated his 'courtesy' to call her by her first name. He didn't mind at all... "Well, as your hand, I can't not recognize you as my queen..." he couldn't help but pull a lock of hair who was covering her eyes behind her ear...

She smirked up to him getting again a little closer. "Not to mention that you´re always rescueing me from my own hair. My hero."

She was so beautiful... so close... he couldn't help but get even closer "My duty, my queen..."
