The world looks beautiful for me and him

Kian looked at Athena. It hurted to see that the chain meant something to her, but she didn't trusted him enough to tell him the truth why. She again used a lame excuse. What did she thought he was? He showed her how to see behind the facade of a merchant and yet she seemed to forgot what he taught her. He knew lies and excuses when he heard them.

"I'm sorry. If I get an idea who might help you to find a chain like this, I will tell you.", he answered calmly.

She kind of felt that he didn't believe her, but she was assuaged that he didn't ask anything more about it. "Thank you...", she just said and closed her fingers around the chain. "I will come back when I finished", she said with a smile and turned around to go back to the chests she was looking through. With a heavy heart she wrapped it into the fabric again and put it back into the chest. Then she continued to look over the other things in the chest.

Kian looked at her back, watching her with a tilted head, while she was working on other chests. After a while he shrugged and turned around, working again ont he chests he had chosen to do. Her behaviour made him suspicious. It was obvious, that she wanted the chest, but didn't asked for it, even when he offered her something before. He wondered what made it so important to her.

She tried to think about other things than about the chain and her family and her parents and... She reprimanded herself to stop thinking about it and concentrated on the chests.

Some time passed by until she finished her work and went back over to Kian. It was almost evening now and she was really hungry. "I finished my work, Mr Innis. There were a few things I am not sure  about, maybe you  take a look at those. They are lying over there", she said and pointed to a  few things in front of the chests she had been looking through.

Kian stopped working and closed the chest in front of him. He turned around to Athena and gave her a warm smile. "Thank you for your help.", he was glad so far nothing serious was broken and he always provided for a small loss. "I will give those things a closer look later on. I guess I kept you busy for too long."

"You like to go somewhere and eat something?", he asked gently.

"Oh , don't worry", she said smiling. "I'm glad I can make myself useful." She really meant it. She wanted to give him something back. He was always so Kind and she felt uncomfortable that she Lied to him. But on the other hand she was lying to everybody.
She put a hand on her tummy. "Yes, that would be great!", she answered. She really needed something to eat.

Kian nodded politely. "If you don't mind, I know a place where we could eat, but only when you don't want to go back to the ship and eat there.", he smirked. He guessed she would like to stay on land than go back.

When she thought of going back on the ship she felt really ill right away. She wouldn't be able to just eat  a bite. "I would love to go to that place with you", she said and smiled. She was so glad he didn't want to eat on the ship.

Kian nodded and smiled. "It's just a few streets away from here, I'm sure you'll like it. I have to go and tell everyone we are leaving and they shall take some more care of Malea, while we are away.", he leaned forward and took a strain of Athena's hair in his hand. He pulled playfully at it."Wait here, I'll be back in a minute.", he let go of her hair and walked down the landing scape towards his ship.

"Sounds great. Yeah, you should do that...", she answered a little breathless when he came so close to her. Still not able to move she looked after him when he walked back to the ship. She needed a while to be herself again. These feelings couldn't be good... She waited for him to come back and when she saw him walking back to her she smiled at him, even if he was still quite far away.

Kian walked back towards Athena and smiled back at her. "I brought your cloak with me, I thought you might need it.", he layed the warm cloak over her shoulders. "Shall I lead you the shortest way or do you want to see some more about the village first?", he offered her his arm.

"Thank you, that's very kind Mr Innis", she smiled. "I'd really love to see more from this place first", she decided and took his arm.
