Starlit Lullabies

Rose caressed his arm. "Some are born lucky some aren't." laying her head on his shoulder while they walked. "Well all I hope is that for those who suffer.. There will be a good life awaiting them after the suffering." She said. "Eventually people will get what they deserve." Rose continued to caress his arm. "I do hope I've never mistreated you."

Kian layed his hand on hers to stop her caressing his arm. It was like she felt uncomfortable about something. So nervous. He looked into her eyes and smiled gently. "You haven't. And I just overlook the very first times we met and you were acting like the spoilt child you were."

He tipped on her nose playfully. "You still are.", he guided her through the garden along the flowers, whom were sleeping. "You have a strong mind, but also the heart of a little girl that wants to be protected. You will get what you need, I'm sure your father will take care of it."

Rose laughed softly when he tapped at her nose. "I am not that spoiled." she said. looking at him. "Is it that bad? I am pretty sure I've worked hard to get where I am now."

Kian smiled. "You came all the way to the inn though I just arrived. You wanted me to show you the new things I brought with me. And don't deny it, you were sad when I told you I can't show you.", he chuckled. "I think you are spoilt. Not as much as you were as little girl, but you still are somehow. You know you can get what you want. Even more when you ask your father. I think the only thing he'll be strict about is your marriage."

"No, it's not that bad. It's kinda refreshing from time to time, cause you are always honest about your longings."

she laughed softly. "That is not spoiled that is curious. I pay you to bring me nice things. So obviously I am curious about what you bring." she thought about tha marraige thing. "Nobody had say in who they will marry. Unless you no longer have anyone telling you who to wed."

"Like me? I married who I wanted. And there was still someone who wanted to tell me who to marry and who not. By far as I know, my father would have killed me if he found out whom I married at last. And no, I don't regret to leave home on my own and live the life I wanted. I was more... the second son, who needs to marry so the family gets richer, but it there was no intention to get me a higher rank.", Kian chuckled. "I indeed feel a bit sorry for the girl I should've married. I hope she got someone else, someone better than me."

"So then curious young lady, what do you think I might bring to you tomorrow?", he raised an eyebrow.

She took a seat at the edge of the fountain. Listening to his story. Before he turned to question her curiosity. She pursed her lips. "Something I can find my future husband in.." She said with a smirk. "I hope that." she added. "It's about time I go get married..."

Kian sat down next to her and smirked. "Now you want to get married, dear? Before a moment you sounded quite different.", he looked around, enjoying the surrounding. "Maybe, I have something like that. Maybe not. Up to you.", a soft smile curled up on his lips.

She smiled softly. "I don't want to. But not even I have much say into a marraige." She said shrugging. "As long as it's a good match... I guess I shouldn't complain. if he has a good title." She smiled. "You better have something for me."

"Did I ever had something that didn't pleased you, my dear?", he asked innocently.

Rose shook her head. ''No you did not Kian..'' Rose patted his shoulder. ''That's one thing you'll never do.''

Kian chuckled. "I think my old man told me more manners than I thought.", he leaned back and stared into the stars. "There are times I wanted to go back, but I don't think he would care. And I found my own way of living, survivng hard times."

"You'll be safe and sound for the rest of your life.", he smiled. "I hope it lasts long."
