Lavender's blue, lavender's green (tag Rose)

Thomas had been spending a good part of the day trying to keep his mother out of his room so he could get ready in peace. He had organized a trip to the town for Rose and himself. He wanted to get away from this island fortress just to avoid his mother alone was reason enough for him to get away.
Her plump face would pop up everywhere he went or whenever he was talking to Rose. That was pretty much why he kept going to the city a secret.
He sneaked to the port and waited there for Rose to arrive. Then they got into a boat and crossed the river.
The boat trip went along in silence. He said good morning to her and such, but wasn't sure what else to say.
As they got to the other shore he got off the boat careful not to make a fool of himself by tripping over or anything. Then offering his hand for Rose to take. "Where would you like to go first?" He asked her.

The boat trip wasn't uncomfortabel. He seemed like someone who needed some time to get used to others. That was life she guessed. Rose gladly took his hand. Smiling at him. "Oh I wouldn't know.. I.. Anything's fine for me really." She smiled. "I am just glad that we can go somewhere alone.." She said. Having him know very well what she meant. Not only his mother was lurking around. Her family was too.

He gave her a soft smile. "Then we shall just walk around I suppose." He said starting to lead her along the main street. "Are you thinking of buying some souvenirs for your sister before you leave Dorne?" He asked knowing she was to leave back to Lannisport in a few days.
It still remained for Thomas to see if he should propose the marriage or not. He really wanted to, just not sure if she just wanted to marry him because it was supposed to be or was it really so that she liked him.

Rose nodded. "Yes I was thinking about that. I'm most certain she'd be disappointed ifI didn't." Rose said with a smile. Looking at him. He hadn't proposed yet. She wondered ifhe'd do it before she'd go back to Lannistport. This was basically his last chance. "Could I take your arm Thomas?" Rose asked. She knew he was a bit sensitive when it came to physical contact. He was a shy man afterall.

He glanced down at her hand that was hanging down her side as she walked right next to him. He reached his hand to take hers in. Her hands were so small and slender.
"What does your sister like?" He asked her. "Dolls? Or pretty clothes?" He suggested to her. "Jewelry?"

Rose thought about it. "Well last time she came home with a basket full of frogs.." Rose said. Liki g that he took her hand. "I am unsure how she'd react on a dress.. I doubt she'd like it."

He smiled a little at that. "Well I doubt they would survive if we took frogs and put them in a box." He joked.
"Anything else she likes?" He asked.

Rose nodded. "She likes some special things.. Olena has a particular taste." She thought about it. "Perhaps some pretty dolls. I'm sure she'd love it if I brought her a very nice doll."

He smiled. "Then I think I know the right place to go." He said guiding her to a street that he knew housed a woodcarver. In front of the shop he opened the door to her. "He has an apprentice who makes pretty dolls and other sort of toys."

When they got into the store she smiled. Something she did allot in his company lately. He had smiled allot aswell today. Perhaps he was just happy she was leaving. Or he actually started to like her a little. "I think Olena would like a doll which would look adventurous." She said.

He turned to the apprentice. "Do you have something like that made?" He asked. The apprentice then started to lay up options for Rose to choose from. "Will any of these do mi'lady?"
Thomas waited for Rose to reply.

Rose answered the apprentice. When they got the doll they walked out. Rose smiled. "I'm sure she'll love this." She said. Her hand gently moving towards Thomas's. "You're the best advisor Thomas..This is really something special."

Thomas paid for the doll and they left the shop. "Well I don't know if I am the best.... But thank you..." He looked around. "What would you like for yourself then? Perhaps some fabrics for new dresses if you prefer?" He said pointing at shop. She could still use those fabrics for whatever she wanted if they weren't to be married. Or if she would say no to be more precise.

She nodded. "Yeah that could work." She said with a smile. "I haven't gone shopping for fabric in a while.." Rose admitted with a giggle as they walked into the store.

He smiled shyly. "Choose whatever you want. I shall pay for it." He replied going to glide his hands on the stacked up packs of fabric. He had hard time to make out the embroidery or prints on them but he could see the colors clear enough. "How about this purple one? Or this silverish color?" He suggested.

She looked at the purple one. "Purple is your houses color is it not? I could have a purple dress be made." Rose smiled. "That's something new.. Usually I wear something Lannister like.." She said with another soft smile. "It's a good new.."

He blushed a bit. "I suppose it is.... Does that not suit you?" He asked not sure if she liked the color or not. But was happy to hear she said she liked it. "If you want I can get you some red fabrics as well...."

''No...no.. purple is fine.'' She smiled. ''I should learn how to dress if I am to stay in Dorne...'' She said looking at him. ''Shall we get the purple...You seem to like it my lord..'' Rose smiled. ''I would like to wear something that shall be in your liking Thomas..''

He smiled shyly. "You can have what ever you prefer.... Perhaps we could find you a ring to match with the dress...." He said fiddling with the fabric. It made him nervous to look at her when he said that. So he kept his eyes cast on the fabrics.

His words caught her ears. She looked up. Raising her eyebrow. Before she smiled softly. "Yes I'd like that.." She said with a smile. Laying her hand on his that was feeling the fabric. "Shall we get the purple?" She asked as she gently took the fabric from him.

He smiled shyly. "Sure..." He said going to the sales man. Asking them to pack the fabrics. Secretly including the silver and the red too. In case Rose wanted to share them with her sister.
Coming back to her he took her hand and started to lead her outside. "They will deliver the fabrics at the keep later today.... We could go to the jewelers...?" He said uncertain.

She already had an isea what he was planning to do. Rose smiled softly. "If you wish Thomas.." She said. Using his first name. As her hand gently glided towards his. Holding it in a gentle hold. Hoping he didn't mind. As they walked into the jewlery shop.

He just looked down at his feet. Feeling so flustered. It didn't seem like she minded much him leading her. And he was getting more and more nervous if she was going to refuse him or not.
Leading her to the jewelers and holding the door open to her so she could walk in.
"Do you see anything you like?"

She looked around. Smiling softly as he said if she saw something that she liked. "I do.. But it is not amongst the jewlery.." She said softly hoping he's catch the small flirt. Rose gave him another smile. Gently taking hold of his hand again. "Is there something you'd like me to wear, Thomas?"

Thomas lifted his gaze towards her. "Eh? If you don't see anything you like in here we can surely go to some place else." He said not understanding that she was flirting with him.
