The morning after a shamefull day

"Well, I did take the time to gather informations about you and your position, I assumed that you, as the queen, would do the same." He retorted to her her own words

"Of course I did but as you might know it´s really hard to get any kind of information about you and your country. Until a few years we still new nothing at all." She replied.

Reth thought about her answer and after a moment he replied "Fair enough" he crossed his arms as well and gave her a sassy smirk "That's actually kind of a relief: since you never displayed any acknowledgement for my position, I was starting to think you had a complete lack of good manners."

Immediately her eyes narrowed for a moment and her voice turned a little darker. "Excuse me?" She the queen lacking with good manners? Sure the past days and especially yesterday it could have been considered but she already said how sorry she was so how could he dare! "So then I still do wonder why you, as the heir, risked all the dangers to come here? Of course I´m very honored but still I´d like to know."

Her reaction was priceless: she surely compensated the lack of good manner with pride! Such a little funny queen she was... "As you said, my country has been isolated for so long. It needs to flourish, and it can' on its own, but it has much potential. As a prince and future king, it's my duty to do whatever needs to be done for my country. I could stay home and send my uncle here as your hand, but my country doesn't have special needs that require my presence at the moment, while I wanted to handle myself the businesses with our new allies." Talking about that, he was suddenly very serious and business-like. It was evident he didn't take lightly his duties. "Did my answer satisfy you?"

Marina nodded. "Yes for now it does. If I got any other question about this theme I´ll let you know. Thanks again for checking on me."

"My pleasure, Marina" he smirked once again to her and, with a wink, he left the room
