Kayley was leaving the North soon, so she figured she might as well ride through the countryside one last time. After all, once she left for Dorne, she wouldn't see this place for a while. Soon enough, she was riding on her horse, letting the cold air blow in her face. She soon found herself in Wolfswood, and while most people would have turned back, she decided to press on. Sure, Wolfswood was known for having, well, wolves, and other fierce animals. But Kayley was a wolf herself, in a sense. Surely she could deal with whatever came her way, right?

San was hunting as was the wolves way upon the back of one of her brothers twas more of a personal hunt rather then a raid for she was after a stag not a village. The chase was loud beginning to echo around the woods, while San aimed carefully with her spear releasing it only when she was sure that she had the target watching the weapon fly and strike the beast in the side taking it down. causing it to stumble and fall down the hill into the path of the woods one of the few, cursing she steered her brother down to the path. Hoping the damn thing wouldn't get back up before they could get to it, though its bleating cries were quite annoying to her ears.

Kayley looked up when she heard bleating sounds, as if an animal were in pain. The sound put her on edge, but rather than hide, she set her horse at a trot, trying to figure out there the noise was coming from. She soon had her answer as she stumbled upon a stag with a spear in its side. Had she stumbled upon a hunting party or something? She knew it was a popular past-time out here. Almost all men enjoyed a good hunt every once in a while. She glanced around, wondering who the hunting party was. She couldn't see anyone, yet.

It was not too long before San atop her great dire wolf broke from the tree line to leap upon the carcass as the direwolf closed it's jaws around the stag's neck in a swift and merciless action drawing blood which gushed around its maw. San however had the presence of mind to look and saw the rider a young woman sitting atop the large beast her eyes glared at Kayley letting out a strong loud growl that sounded more wolf then human.

With the furrs around her she certainly looked more wild then civil in any way shape or form, movingto grasp her spear and pull it from the stag.

Without warning, wolves sprang into sight, tearing the stag apart with their bare teeth. Kayley's horse panicked and reared up for a moment, giving a loud whinny. Kayley's heart jumped to her throat, hoping that wouldn't prompt the wolves to attack. "Ssssh, sshh, it's okay, it's okay," she said soothingly, patting her horse's neck until it calmed down somewhat. At least, she hoped things wold be okay. But the surprises didn't end there. A woman soon emerged, and it looked like she was with the wolves. She certainly growled like one, and it seemed like her spear was a replacement for the fangs and claws that the wolves possessed. Kayley hesitated, not sure what to do. If she ran, would the wolves and the woman give chase? If they could bring down a stag, they could certainly bring down a horse with a young girl riding on it.

San watched the girl still growling like some strange she wolf that she was while her brothers ripped into the carcass spilling blood on their snow white fur. San turned her attention back to the meal only to growl at them seeming to start a bit of a fight... it looked like the fight wild animals would have over a carcass and though the large beasts displayed their teeth on the woman she did it right back like she was a big as they were though the two wolves were nearly as big as horses.

She snorted only to let the two brothers battle it out for second in food eating, after all she had felled the kill so she had the right to display her possessiveness over it. But it wasnt long before the big wolves noticed more prey eyeing up the girl and horse licking their lips which were still bloody one even looking to the woman and growling something. As if it were a conversation she frowned like a sister would at a younger brother for being bad only to growl back.

Whoever this woman was, it looked like she could communicate with these wolves. They even seemed to bicker like siblings would. Kayley bit her lip, wondering if the woman could speak. So far, all she had uttered were growls, much like the wolves were doing. There was only one way to find out. She took a deep breath before saying "Um, hello?"

San and the wolves turned at the speech, glaring at the girl San approached barking at her brothers as she did so. Both of them grabbing the carcass and beginning to drag it off back into the woods. San looking up at Kayley as she spoke in very broken westeros "go home, not your forest. Walk not run" snorting at that before she moved to turn away her earrings giving a small jingle as she did so.

So the woman could speak, a little.  She didn't exactly seem the welcoming type, though.  Although she probably had a good reason for telling Kayley to leave.  These wolves could probably take her and her horse down within seconds if they wanted to.  Leaving probably was the smart thing to do, but Kayley was still too curious.  "Wait, who are you?  What's your name?" she asked.  "I'm Kayley Stark."

"Stark.... wolf cub" she said stopping turning to look back at Kayley before thinking on it as she stepped back up "wolf pack need to hunt here, what human pack need not to hunt us?" she stated firmly and simply

The woman seemed to take an interest when Kayley said that her last name was Stark.  Maybe it was because her house sigil was a wolf?  Of course, even though that was true, Kayley wasn't really a wolf herself, and the woman seemed to know it.  She pretty much asked the humans wanted if it meant not hunting the wolves down.  "Oh, um..."  Kayley wasn't sure if she was the right person to answer this question.  "Uh...I don't know.  I mean, we try not to hunt the wolves if possible.  I mean, some of my family members even have them as pets.  But...my father is the lord around here.  Maybe you could speak with him.  He's always willing to listen to anyone, whether they're rich or poor, or whether they're from this area or not."

"Lord.... fat men, with metal men around them no use to wolf pack" she growled and snorted "worse than hunters, cut down forests for more human pack. But better than blood pack to the west... blood pack hunt for fun"

When she commented at the pets San gave bitter chuckle and growled "not wolves, lost brothers forget what they are in man's den. Dogs" she almost seemed to spat out that last word like it was a swear or insult.

Kayley winced.  That had been the wrong thing to say.  Of course this woman wouldn't like the idea of the Starks keeping the dire wolves as pets.  She seemed to treat the wolves around her as her brothers.  "Sorry, that was...stupid," Kayley muttered to herself.  She wasn't sure what to do.  The woman obviously disliked humans, and Kayley wasn't sure if there was anything she could say that would make her feel less angry.

"Human pup smart enough to know stupid" she chuckled before moving forward and sniffing before covering her nose "ugh.... human should rub in pine smell like worst of animal meat" shaking her head as she turned "tell other human female pup that smell like flowers with wolf dog that the pack moves soon" hopping up on the stones as she looked back and smirked "Also best human pup walk home, Mother does not like sudden movements" tilting her head and pointing her spear out deep into the forest past treelines where a giant direwolf was even bigger than San's brothers who were already the size of horses.

Well, the woman seemed more amused than angry now, so Kayley considered that a good thing.  Although her earlier worries about getting eaten soon returned when another direwolf came into view.  And boy, was this one big.  It seemed to tower over Kayley's horse.  Of course, the horse started getting nervous at the sight of another huge animal.  "Sshhh, it's okay, it's okay," Kayley said soothingly as she patted the horse's neck soothingly.  She figured she might as well take the woman's advice and walk home, before her horse had a panic attack.  "I...guess I'll be going, then.  It was...nice meeting you."  Okay, so it wasn't the most eloquent of farewells, but what else could you say when a huge direwolf was no more than a few feet from you?
