Waiting... Empty
PostSubject: Waiting...   Waiting... EmptyMon Aug 11, 2014 7:15 pm

Jane was in her room, staring outside the window at the trees around the castle. Her whole family had left to go at the queen's coronation, only her had been left behind.
- Do not complain, Jane. You do have another journey to attend and I don't want you to be tired when you'll reach Riverrun.-
Sure, her mother was right, but still, you don't have every day the occasion to take part to a coronation. And Jane would have loved to see King's Landing... beside, she had finished packing soon and she had been bored since then. She had nothing to do. Nothing but keep thinking that in just a few days she would have had to say goodbye to everything was dear to her... even her favourite dog, Lady, who was peacefully sleeping on her bed, would have had to leave her. At the thought she felt a deep sadness and couldn't help bur run toward her bed and hug tight the dog. Lady woke up suddenly, without understanding what had got into her owner, but feeling her anxiety she started licking her cheek. Jane laughed a bit when the dog's tongue tickled her, but this didn't help her too much.
- Janey, you'll be busy enough adjusting to your new life without having to take care of a dog, and I surely don't want you to neglect your duties for that animal! -
Her mother was doing that for her own good, Jane knew that, but still she couldn't help but feel sad and anxious: she would have been all alone in Riverrun, surrounded by strangers, and... by her husband, the stranger that scared her most of all.
There had been a time, not even long ago, when she had even been happy about her bethrodal, but now that the day was quickly approaching she was only able to feel sick at the idea. She had no idea who he was, how he was, what he liked, if he would have liked her... She knew nothing about him but in just a few weeks he would have been her husband. She had always hoped to meet her own prince charming and marry for love, and when she was bethroded to John Tully she had hoped he was the prince of her dreams, that they would have fallen in love and been happy, but now she was too scared of being disappointed to go on dreaming.
Holding Lady in her arms, she laid down in her bed. "What do you think, Lady? Will I be ok?" The dog stared at her with a confused glance. Jane sighed "Oh, I wish that mother was back already... and Garrett... and Eilonwy and father, even Cedric..." she wondered when they would have come back: the coronation was passed already so they should have been back soon...

(( Do you mind if I join her? ^^ ))

It had taken a few days of traveling from King's Landing to Bear Island, but finally they were home.
Cedric and Garrett were riding alongside one another, leading the pack, a little tired but happy of their little voyage: in the end not everyday you got to see a coronation; and the experience was after all full of surprises.

Cedric smiled to himself at what he saw in the past few days, something he would never forget. He smiled again and raised his look: in the distance he could finally see the gates and Mormont Keep; they were at home.
"The gates!" he laughed turning to his brother "Do you bet on who comes first?" he teased his brother giving him a challenging smile.

Garrett was riding silently, but as he heard his brother laughing he immediately raised his look, in front of him there were the gates and Mormont Keep was visible on the horizon. Of course it wasn't like the Red Keep, but it was their home and he missed it after all.
"Not you!" he smiled back to him and started to run towards the gates.
"It's not fair!" Cedric laughed and followed his brother in the race.
The calls of their mother, worried for their behavior and their health, did nothing as they just ignored them and continued their race.

[OOC: Not at all!!! I'm actually happy that you want to!!! Very Happy]

Jane was still laying down on her bed, holding Lady, when the first noises of running horses reached her, but she didn't give them too much attention. It was only when she heard the laughters of her brothers that she realized that her family was back.
Quickly she jumped off the bed, leaving Lady that showed no interest whatsoever to stop sleeping, and run at the entrance of the castle, waiting for her brothers to arrive, cause of course she knew they would have arrived first.

"First!" both of them screamed as the horses slowed down in front of Mormont Keep. Like always none of them was going to let the other win, and they would have started to discuss if Jane wouldn't have been at the entrance waiting for them.

"Jane!" Cedric smiled jumping off his horse to his sister "We are back!" he chuckled pointing at his brother and the rest of the family who was slowly arriving.
"How are you?" Garrett asked coming closer to them after giving the horse to a stableman "How it was without us?"

Jane started waving at her brothers the moment she saw them. As soon as Cedric jumped off his horse she run to hug him and she did the same when Garrett arrived "Oh I missed you so much!" she exclaimed, smiling again, forgetting at least for a moment her worries.
"Oh, let me think... quiete, peacefull -she joked answering at the brother's question - and... terribly boring!" she laughed in the end, though everything she had just said was quiete true.
"So how was the coronation? How's the new queen?" she asked, her eyes shining in cuiriosity

Cedric and Garrett hugged her back, in the end they missed her during the voyage.
"I don't doubt it!" Cedric laughed as she spoke "Did you spend all your time in your room?!" he teased her a little, he knew that now whit all the preparation for her marriage and stuffs, Jane was always worried and a little nervous.
"An interesting experience..." Garrett turned to her "The Queen is exactly like Daenerys Targaryen... hopefully she would be able to rule with the same respect as hers."

"Just after I finished packing!" she replied, laughing a bit herself.
Garrett's answer to her question wasn't exactly what she wanted to know but she was glad to hear that. "Is she as beautiful as Daenerys?" she asked, unable to hide her curiosity "How was she dressed? How many people were at the celebration?"
Then, as soon as a new question crossed her mind, her expression became more serious "Was... was John Tully there?"

Cedric and Garrett exchanged a glance and both of them started laughing.
"Woah!" Cedric chuckled "We can drown in all those questions!" he raised his hands to stop her "She's a beautiful woman as Daenerys, but I don't remember how she was dressed..." he scratched his head, Cedric barely remember what HE was wearing at the coronation how could he remember what the Queen was wearing?!

As Jane mentioned John Tully Cedric turned to his brother, both of them shook their head.
"We saw his father, but he wasn't there..." Garrett said "Probably he was at home more or less for your same reasons."

She frowned when they started laughing: what was so funny? And how could they not remember her dress? Such important details... oh well, mother and Eilonwy would have surely been able to give her more details.
As they told her about the absence of her husband to be, she simply nodded with a "oh..." not that it mattered, now, she was going to meet him soon anyway, her brothers didn't even need to unpack...

The thought of John Tully made her fall into a spiral of thoights and soon she was lost in them, only when Garret made her a question she was taken back to reality "Oh! ehm... I..." she blushed, looking down "m-maybe..." she replied vague, but her expression left little doubt of the real answer to her brother's question

"Maybe?" Garrett and Cedric replied unison.
"You can't lie Jane!" Cedric chuckled softly at her "At least not to us!" Garrett gave her a soft smile "So... tell us!"

Her brother's questions made her feel more and more uncomfortable. She usually talked to them, she always had, but this time... she just didn't know what to say.
What should she have said after all? I'm terribly scared, the last two years have been fun but now I don't wanna get married anymore cause I don't want to marry a stranger and I don't want to leave my house and my family forever? She couldn't do such a thing, it wasn't even an option...
"T-there's... nothing to say, r-really..."

Garrett sighed and crossed his arms, he didn't want to push her. If she didn't want to talk now she would talk with them later, but sooner or later Jane would have to face the situation since it was almost time.
"Did you pack everything?" Cedric smiled trying to change the subject "Did you take a portray of me?" he chuckled.

"Yes, I did!" she replied immediately at his first question, smiling again, relieved that they decided to change subject. At his second question she joked answering "I took just one of Garrett, I don't need a copy"

"How funny!" Cedric laughed messing up a little her hairs - as he always did -.
"The girl thinks she's funny!" he chuckled turning to Garrett, who just smiled seeing that Jane was smiling again.

"She is funny you know it!" Garrett smiled.

Jane immediately started fixing her hair, but couldn't help but giggle when her brother messed them up.
"You are the only one who doesn't appreaciate my humor, dear brother" she replied to Cedric, joking again.
Then, as she saw their parents finally approaching, she took Cedric's hand "Come on, let's go to them. If we wait here we can wait until evening!"
