Lord Commander gone missing

"It's different from the gods you serve?" he asked as he limped toward her. He knew that the free folk worshipped the old gods than the new. He didn't quite get it that people would pray in front of a tree with a carved face, but people were different. The families in the north worshipped the old gods and there were also some men in the nights watch who also worshipped the old gods. He was now by Naerys side. He could see that she didn't like the statue of the Maiden.

"Very diffrent. I mean we don´t even have this stone things at all." She said looking at him, a little friendlier than before. She knew religion was a questionable thing but still it was strange to her to worship few individual gods that seem somewhat superior to everyone and everything was just too much to her taste.

"Well, there are different religions around the world," he admitted. "There are powerful families here in the north who worship the same gods as you do. Even many of my men here worship them." It was respect in voice when he told about that when Naerys made him lean into her again and they were heading out. It wasn't he who chose which gods everyone should believe in. A oath was a oath, and that made them brothers no matter what.

"They do? Wow and still they hate us." She said, shaking her head sadly that the side of the wall you´re born at matters so much. Even more than religion and even believes didn´t help the situation between free folk and the other human beings at all.

"We'll work with it," John said smiling to her. "But there was one man of the Night's watch who did everything he could to save the free folk once. He was a Lord Commander too. But it almost costed him his life." That man he was talking about was Jon Snow, now Jon Targaryen and father to their queen. He once read in a book about all the Commanders at the wall, their history and what they did. He had read about Jon Targaryen so many times, especially before the meeting with chief Thorir.
