You again ... [Tag John Slynt]

Happy and almost singing Naerys finally reached her todays goal, one of the very few villages beyond the wall and for her one of the few occasions to have a chat with a good friend of hers. Passing some of houses at the town´s border she eventually stopped in front of one of the bigger houses and most important the main trading spot. Smiling she entered the house and got welcomed with a hug quickly after by her friend, the wife of the current owner of the house and dealer for this house. After putting the goods she had brought with her aside to a mostly free wall she and her friend walked to the counter to have a little chat after quite some time.

First they talked about the usual, their families, their health and whatever just hit their mind before they exchanged some information also including the notice of the night´s watch members seeming to be seen more often lately. As the crows got mentioned Naerys immediately had to laugh though in a rather awkward way which made her friend raise one of her eyebrows. "Oh I also got to meet one of them not too long ago." Suprised the womans eyes widened. "What happened?" - "What can I say, I was out to collect some wood and that´s when we bumbed right into each other." Remembering the scene again Naerys hand instinctly turned into a fist she even hit against the counter. "This lusty arrogant piece of shit even dared to grab me and took my bow and arrows so I had to send Norjen for hunting until I remade them." - "But he didn´t harm you did he? ... Hey ... wait a moment. He stole your favorite weapon?" The woman cuckled. "Sounds rather like you just got mad about that a man and over all one of the nights watch succeded to get you unarmed." - "WHAT? No! Of course not!" - "Sure sweetheart. So how did he look like? Maybe I even know him." - "Well as far as I could see he had brown hair and green eyes as well as a pale skin. I have to admit he actually he was quite handsome ... for a crow."

John was riding in front of the little group of the nights watch and looked around. They were on the way to the trading post to trade, share and gather some news. John was still thinking about what the queen had told him. The white walkers and that winter god. Bah! he thought. He didn't believe in visions, it only belonged to old fairy tales. But still he wondered; what was it that actually made that the white walkers came to life? Could there be some kind of sorcery? He doubted it, but still, they the white walkers were just growing for each day. And the nights watch was few enough as it was, so he had sent Eric Tully to Dorne to ask for more men to be sent to the wall. They reached the village and he got down from the horse and tied nearby the main trading spot. Reaching the door, he heard some voices inside, a good sign that there were people nearby. And in fact, one of the voices sounded very familiar, but from where? He knocked at the door before he entered, raised his eyebrows and smirked. Oh yes, that's the one recognized the familiar voice. The young wildling girl he met some time ago.

The dealers eyes widened as she got sight of her new customer who obviously was a night´s watch member and in fact very fitting Naerys description making her point at him. Following the womans gesture Naerys turned around just to let out a gasp and almost stumble. Of all people who could enter in here, at this time, why, just why did it has to be him? Blushing quite much her thoughts continued. Oh no, and how much did he hear yet?

"Welcome Lord Commander." Quickly Naerys turned again only to look at the woman highly puzzled. "You´re kidding right?" Even if the people beyond the wall didn´t know too much about the other side of the wall including the nights watch, at least they knew of their ranks.

He hid the grin once he saw her almost stumble. She was cute when she blushed. He nodded politely toward the dealer. "Thank you my dear, lady," he said joking. She just replied laughing. He decided to ignore the young wilding as he went closer to them and to the welcoming sight of the fire in the fireplace. "How's it going around here?" he asked. "Any sight of the white walkers around here lately?" Straight to the point.

Cornering her eyes at him she let them widen again as the white walkers were mentioned since she as well was more than interested to hear about them since the free folk were the first to be attacked by them.

"Life´s hard but we´re doing fine." The woman replies before she continued to answer his following question. "No not really. Besides some more romours about them they haven´t be spotted yet. Naerys how about you? Anything you can tell the lord commander?" She said giving Naerys a smirk. Oh for sure she would make the dealer pay for that later. Naerys, one of the free folk giving a crow and especially such a beasty one important informations? Never! "My sweet Ina, you know very well that I rather freeze to death than giving the crows and especially him any kind of information." She replied cornering her eyes and pointing towards the crow, actually poking him.

Naerys. That was a pretty name. He just grinned when she refused to tell anything and poked him. "What a shame," he said, pretended that he was hurt. "Any information would mostly save hundreds of life, here, the wall, even toward south." He started walking toward her, making her to step backwards and cornered her to the wall. He looked straight in her eyes grinning. "If you tell me anything you know," he said teasingly to her. "I'll give you back your bow from last time we met!" Maybe that would make her talk? He really enjoyed to tease her.

She rolled her eyes at his pretending. "Oh please." Not as both of them wouldn´t be very aware of the going on dislike between the free folk and the night´s watch. Being indirectly pushed and eventually trapped to a wall however took her by suprise though Naerys really should have known better since their first metting. Stupid crow! "My bow? Awh you´re such a ... what was the word again? ... ah yes, gentlemam. Sadly -" She shortly paused to push him gently back with one of her hands. "- there is no need to anymore."

"Is that so?" he replied teasingly. "Wasn't it you who said that you couldn't wait for it?" He grinned when Naerys looked even more angrier at him. If one look could kill.

Cornering her eyes she gave him a highly angry glare as she only gave him a grunt as reply. Again she tried to push him away not wanting to be left to his will again, only to find out once more that physically he sadly defenitely was much stronger than here since her pushing hardly seemed to be successfull at all. Stupid crow! Not that it was all new for her to be weaker than the other sex but still ... she had to admit that he was one of the very few males of her notice she actually might loose against.

He chuckled when she tried to push him away again and held her wrist in a firm grip. "Nice try," he said. How funny it would have been to just drag her into him and give her a little kiss, just to make her more angrier. He turned his head toward the door as one of the other members of the nights watch rushed. "Commander!" he yelled. "The white walkers are nearby!" John let go of Naerys. "Stay inside!" he said and rushed outside.

Again Naerys couldn´t stop herself from blushing. Why again did this have to happen to her? Just before she was about to close her eyes and hurry to get out of his grip luckily his attention got directed otherwise which made her sigh in reliefe though not for long ... As soon as she heard the news from that other crow her eyes widened and she hurried to her bow and arrows packing them quickly on her back. "And leave all the fun to you crows? Surely not!" She replied catching up with him and gave him a glare before the commander crow as well as she herself caught eye of a white walker themselves.

He sighed annoyed as she caught up with them. Who said that it was fun killing the white walkers? It was grave danger. Couldn't she understand that? She was stubborn, that was sure. Fine, he thought. He wouldn't be held responsible if she got killed during the fight. They saw the white walkers, it was five of them. John grabbed his sword, and commanded his men to drive them away from the village.

Unable to move for a moment as she caught sight of the first white walker Naerys was amazed though also not only a little afraid. It wasn´t a premier for her to see one of these legendary creatures but every time she even only got to see one from afar it made her blood freeze. Still, she clearly wouldn´t let the crows handle the white walker while she herself was hiding inside the house like a scared little wife or child. Definitely not! Still closer that she´d prefer in any other situation Naerys was right next to the commander though at least a bit behind him. Seeing the once so peacefully village now as a battlefield she quickly readied her bow with an arrow so she was able to shoot at anything anytime.

Damn, those white walkers were quick! And the blue lighted eyes were so cold. The fight wasn't easy at all: John had to duck his head from the battle-axe from one of the white walkers before he managed to chop off one the arms and kick it near its ribs. One other got shoot by Naerys, saving one of the nights watch. He had to admit, she was an excellent archer. To bad that she was a woman and from the free folk, for she could have been very useful at the wall.

(OOC 1: White walkers can only be killed or really hurt with dragon glass but that zombie people can be slaughtered easily though they only die for real when you burn them *cough* xD)

Just when she thought how very great her day was, of course it had to get even worse. Looking around the village now not only white walkers appeared but they also created the first wights out of the villagers. Great, just great now she also had to get them some fire she was thinking right before Naerys remembered that crows actually had some special weapon things against the white walkers. Now she actually felt something like safety being with that crows. Shaking her head she shivered disgusted for a moment only to shoot her victim that day, a wight ... which actually just made her safe a crow. This better be over soon. Moving up to the commanders side she eventually spoke up to him. "Don´t you crows have that black thingys that can actually kill the icy monsters?"

John looked at her once she spoke to him and raised and eyebrow before he blocked a hit with his sword. How in the seven hells did she know about dragon glass? He cursed himself, of course she was right. How could he forget that? He was the commander, he shouldn't forget it. He quickly grabbed his dagger, made of dragon glass. He strike it at the white walker, and smirked toward her. "Those black thingy's, is called dragon glass!" He should know better than to tease her now.

Naerys moved a few steps back as a white walker was now right in front of the two, about to strike and slaughter them just to turn them into wights when suddenly she noticed something like black steel. So that was that so called dragon glass? Impressed for a moment - not to mention relieved that she could live some longer - she stared at the crow commander with sparkling eyes though narrowed them at his smirk. "You seriously want to lecture me now?" she remarked as she was about to shoot after another wight to distract it while one of the crows could burn it. Right! Fire! "You wouldn´t have some fire with you, would you?"

He rushed over to her after killing another white walker, indeed he had something. "In one of the bags," he explained. They were planned to be used for the trading, but this was an emergency. "There's some bottles with oils and clothes. Add it on your arrows and fire it. Then you can shoot them." He wasn't going to explain it to her again, but right now he needed her talent with the bow and arrow.

Bottels with oils and clothes was all Naerys heard before hurrying to the material right away to ready her arrows with it. Now these wights just got one more reason not to mess with her. Grinning wickedly she walked back towards the crows side while setting not that less number of wights on fire. What a sight it was! Sure, they still where white walkers left which she quickly got reminded off but hey, at least the villagers weren´t the only ones anymore who died like flies. Speaking of dying Naerys just found herself much too close to the last remaining white walker and he sure was more than scary. With these icy liveless eyes looking at her directly while reaching with his cold deadly hands after her just about to strike giving the free woman the scare of her life now that she was really about to get slaughtered by one of the white walkers! Standing there frozen for a moment she eventually reached after another arrow of hers to at least give her some more seconds of living when she noticed that they were all gone already, shoot to mostly protect the villagers as well as crows. Just about to curse herself for being that much of an idiot to actually kind of give her own life to let crows besides others survive she noticed a black dagger before her immediately followed by person in black clothes. Did she really just got rescued? By a crow?

He hurried back to the battle to save one of his comrades when he got hurt right in the leg. If Naerys didn't hurry, then they all would probably be dead soon. John felt a bit relived when he saw a flying arrow with fire hitting the white walker, praise the Seven, she found it very quickly. How long the battle was, he didn't know but finally there was one left again and Naerys was empty with arrows. He hurried over to her, hitting the dagger in to the white walker. It waved it's arms and one of the hands scratched over John's right eye, he cursed as he backed away covering the wound with his hand.

(OOC: *panicks* DON`T LET HIM DIE *rushes to rescue* >///<!)

Naerys was just about to jump in joy, to jump her savior and maybe even kiss him immediately changed her mind as she caught sight of his wounds. A crow already was more than hateable for her, a crow commander even more but a crow wight? Oh that she surely neither could stand at all nor would let that ever happen if there was at least a tiny chance left to prevent this happening. Quickly she moved right in front of him and approached him while warming her hands before she pushed his aside to put her warmed ones on his eye wound. "Commander wounded. Hurry and bring some hot water!" She called out while dragging him into the nearest house nearby.

(Don't worry, I'm not letting him die.)

He felt her warm hands touch the wound, he was sure that his eye didn't get hurt, but it would probably be a scar over his eyebrow. He kept his eye closed as Naerys dragged him back to the village, and she even helped to cleanse the wound. He hissed a bit, it really hurt, but he was alive. He could hear that one of his comrades hit his hand toward the table where his wound got cleansed. The blood was finally washed away and he had to smile when he saw Naerys face, very concentrated and serious as she helped cover the wound with clean cloth. He had to remember to thank her later. How weird, he saved her life, and now she was helping him.

When Naerys was finally done with taking care of the wound she let out a long sigh in relief, still to her suprise. Luckily all that was about to be left was a scar on his eye but he survived and didn´t freeze to death or worse, become on of the beings both free folk and crows hated and fought to death even enough to help each other out. How weird, she thought to herself smiling once for a very short time before she got up to tidy up the things on the table before she returned again with some herbs she turned into an liniment she carefully put over his eye. Now again being so awefully close to him she whispered to him so he was the only one to hear. "You know that once we both are done here this never happened right? Still ... " She backed off once she was done though was still whispering and once giving the commander a gentle smile. "Thanks for saving my life."

"Tell the others over there about it," he whispered back to her, his eyes narrowed over to his comrades. He was sure that someone would try to joke about it, but he would make them pay for it if it went to far. "Thank you for saving my life to," he said back to her. "You were a good out there."

"Well since you´re like their boss I´m sure you´ll take care of it for me don´t you?" She replied almost smirking. At his compliment though she couldn´t stop herself blushing. It was just so very unexpected and almost weird to get a compliment at all from a crow! ... Especially from such an interesting one. Still eventually she chuckled. "Oh I´d most likely say the same thing about you but I´m pretty sure you know that already don´t you?"
