Head of the House and The Bastard (Tag: Phillip)

Irri was happily running around the great hall having her own bit of fun having sneaked away from the watchful eyes of her caretakers. Dressed in clothes fit for a little lady which were already dirty from her play, currently she was chasing a poor house cat up and down and all around the great hall laughing as she went. Amused by the feline as she just wished to pet it, but had not the patience to wait for it to come to her, so she gave chase and as instinct the cat ran.

Irri didnt watch where she was going climbing up and under tables nocking objects down as she went until there was a bit of a mess in the great hall by the time servants had noticed and she caught the feline who she snuggled with a laugh.

Phillip opened the door and walked out of his room with rolled up parchments in hand. He needed to send these by messenger over to King's Landing to keep in touch with the queen and keep her updated on a few things that pertained to his job. After he sent these parchments, perhaps he'd have a pleasant relaxing day after all. Soon enough his thoughts were immediately dashed at the sound of things falling down and hitting the floor, coming from the Great Hall. "What is happening? Did one of the hunting dogs get out?" Phillip immediately asked on of the servants who he spotted heading towards the Great hall. When the servant explained of a cat chase, Phillip immediately started towards the Great Hall without hearing the rest of the explanation involving the girl.

Once he entered the Great Hall, Phillip didn't expect to see a young girl in clothes that looked dressy yet dirty, snuggling one of the castle felines. Was she the daughter of one of the servants? Althought the dress that she was wearing seemed to say otherwise. Was she one of the daughters of one of the wealthy families living in town? Did she sneak in? Why did the guards allow her in? These questions filled his head, causing him a slight headache. "Who are you, dear child?" he remarked out loudly enough for the girl to hear, making his tone calm and soft.

Irri was too busy snuggling her new prize happy she caught the feline who was mewing in her arms. she was gentle and pet the feline before gently letting it go "good keli..." giggling happily as the poor feline happily ran away from the little girl past the servants and Phillip. It was around this time that Irri noticed the crowd and began to grow scared especially seeing the big man all the others seemed to refer to. Hearing his voice her eyes went as wide as dinner plates and she hid behind a chair like it was a shield looking at him with those big emerald eyes staring at him she understood what he wanted but was unsure if she should say anything so she was dead silent.

Phillip tilted his head as the young girl did not answer, as she was busy still snuggling the feline before letting it go. He quickly caught what the young girl said slightly, furrowing his eyebrows in confusion. Had she just spoken Valyrian? Who was this child, indeed! Phillip chuckled slightly as the young feline was set free and dashed past Phillip and the other servants. Then his soft brown eyes fell back upon the small girl, widening as she hid behind one of the chairs. The Head of the House couldn't put his finger on it. But those emerald eyes of hers really reminded him of someone, but he didn't have the slightest clue yet. He started to approach the young girl cautiously. "No one is going to hurt you. I just want to know who you are. That is all, sweet child." He responded immediately as he slowly started to approach her.

As the large man approached closer and closer it was although the girl was trying to make herself smaller and smaller till naught but her big green eyes peered at him from behind the chair as she held unto it tightly. She seemed quite scared of him not knowing who he was though he seemed to be nice at least from his tone.... he asked her who she was again taking a big breath she started to mumble against the chair "I-I-Irri..... Irri syt talot geldie oghar azantys, Irri jaelagon tymptan kelpi. Geldie oghar azantys Miguel syt Irri Kepa"

Phillip felt a bit bad as the young girl seemed to be trying to make herself look smaller and holding onto the chair tightly. But he felt a bit better as the young girl took a deep breath and begun mumbling. Though now he felt a bit confused by what she was saying. He knew a bit Valyrian but really couldn't make out what she was saying due to her mumbling. But he did catch onto a name and...his cousin's name? "Miguel? How do you know him, Irri?" He asked as he kneeled down on the floor before her, believing that his size had scared her the most. Phillip felt a bit strange. It was like he knew Miguel had done something and it involved this little girl somehow.

Irri watched as the big man took a knee and spoke to her again in the soft tone she felt a bit better slowly peeking herself out from the chair looking at the man as she took another big breath to help calm her nerves she was beginning to understand that not anyone in this place seemed to understand her it was a bit frustrating. She puffed up her cheeks a little in her train of though before letting the air out in a sigh as she looking at him going slowly "Miguel... sygeldie oghar azantys..... Miguel syt Irri Kepa, Irri syt ummmm....." trying to remember the common word for it realizing it she grinned and said in an excited happy tone glad to remember the common word "Bastard!"

Phillip blinked a bit in surprise, chuckling a bit at the sight of the young girl puffed her cheeks out in frustration. He could also see that she was slowly peeking out from behind the chair, giving him a sign that she wasn't as scared as before. He gave her a charming smile while trying to listen closely and intently to the Valyrian language. Phillip stayed still as he caught on the words; Miguel, Kepa, and Bastard. It took him a minute or so to put the pieces together, his eyes slowly widening in realization. "Miguel's bastard?" He murmured slowly, rubbing at his forehead at this news. The young Baratheon Head didn't want to believe this and tried to think that this was just a joke. But the young girl seemed to have said 'bastard' in such a happy tone.

Irri looked at him with small smile as she nodded her head to his question now much more friendly as she looked at him like the child she was she swung from side to side putting her hands behind her back "Miguel syt Irri kepa.... Irri syt Irri Storm, Muna syt Azuria" trying to explain to him about things as they were. looking at the mess then at him with a pout "Irri in.... t-t-trouble?"

Phillip sighed heavily, wondering to why Miguel had not spoken to him about this situation. The child didn't seem at all to be lying at all. No wonder her eyes were so familiar. They were so alike to Miguel's eye color. He actually wondered when this would happen, thinking it would eventually happen sooner or later. The Baratheon house didn't need another male similar to Robert Baratheon's habit of sleeping around and bearing bastards. Just like his father was one of the bastards. Even though he didn't mind his father being an ex-bastard, the new head of the Baratheon house was trying his best to get rid of Robert Baratheon's stain upon the house. Phillip just didn't expect for this to happen right after the new queen being crowned.

He then glanced back to the young girl once she spoke once more, watching as she looked over at the mess that she had made from the feline chase. Phillip gave her a soft smile, before shaking his head. "You are not in trouble, dear child. But someone else is." he responded, referring to her father. He was indeed having a talk with Miguel.

Irri seemed satisfied for all she had known was that she wasnt in trouble and that was good enough for her. Deciding there was little time to waste she grinned moving up to gently tug on Phillip's sleeve "vaogenka oghar azanytis!" looking at him with big hopeful eyes "vaogenka oghar tymptan? tymagon Irri!.... p-please? play?" smilling at him the little one wanted him to play with her for in truth she was bored and he was nice, not to mention the fact she did not know where her papa was so she could not go and pester him.

Phillip turned his attention onto the young girl as she tugged on his sleeve. He gave her a puzzled look as he tried to figure out her language before quickly giving her a nod as she spoke the words 'please' and 'play'. His eyes traveled all around the hall, before giving the young girl a slight smile. "We can play, but just not in here okay?" he answered, standing up and holding out his hand to the young girl. The servants needed some time to clean up the girl's previous mess with the feline.

Little Irri nodded her head as she looked at his hand a moment before grinning and taking it only to begin pulling him away. Wanting to take him to her favorite and only place she really knew of other then the great hall which was the courtyard just outside. Thought her spunk vanished when they were near the servants and she clung unto Phillip hiding behind him cutely, it seemed she was just very shy at first.

Phillip smiled lightly at her grin and her taking hold of his hand, to pull him away out of the great hall. He wondered where she was taking him before they reached the courtyard. Suddenly her spunky attitude changed very quickly at the sight of the servants. "You don't have to be shy little one. No one will harm you here." he reassured the young girl. Her shyness was quite adorable.

Irri still clung unto him like a babe but nodded a little, it seemed like she could get the gist of what he said so the language barrier was not too much of a gap. When they were mostly alone in the courtyard she let go looking around with a bright smile. The adventurous little child even tried to and succeeded in climbing a good part way up a tree not caring at the stares she got or her manners really. Which told well that the background of her mother was probably of common birth or a very liberal lower noble though the chances of a commoner were much greater.
