Out for a walk (Open) Empty
PostSubject: Out for a walk (Open)   Out for a walk (Open) EmptyMon Jan 05, 2015 12:47 pm

Meera enjoyed the fresh air and the shining sun as she walked at the big roots around the Neck. She really needed a break from her duties at Greywater Watch. She had been a bit stressed lately and needed to relax a bit. So now, while her daughter Nita was traveling toward Kings Landing to attend the coronation of Marina Targaryen, Lady Meera was out for a walk. She carried a three pronged frog spear and a net as she always did when she was younger. It was more easier to walk here when she was wearing her pants and a simple tunic than a dress. Carefully she jumped from one root to another one. She felt more relaxed after a while as she went deeper into the Neck. The water was clear, the sun was bright. She sat down, leaning her back against a tree and enjoyed the warmth from the sun at her face.

Amelia Cerwyn was on her horse headed to the Queen's Coronation. She almost decided not to go, but changed her mind at the last minute. It was unlike her to just not go to these kinds of special events without her husband or but then again, she was the Head of House Cerwyn now. Amelia was slightly annoyed that she had not just decided earlier. These things were easier to figure out when someone else was in charge, not her. Oh well, she was probably going to make it in time for the important parts anyway. It's not like she could skip through boring meeting part she hated. All she basically was doing at that point was smiling to make her House look, well . . . . . It's not her fault House Cerwyn was basically used as a "Warrior House." Amelia was passing through the Neck when she a familiar face and thought she might as well take a break. Amelia stopped her horse a moment . . . . Looking around she called cautiously called out. "Hello? Anyone there?"

Meera opened her eyes as she heard a voice calling out and peeked at the side. "Over here," she called back as she rose up and stretched her arms. She smiled over to the woman on her horse. "A really beautiful day, isn't it?" Meera said as she went closer. "Are you on the way to the coronation?"

Amelia definitely heard someone call to her. She slid off of her horse's back carefully, and realized it was one of the members of a House that was allied to Stark. "Yes, it is quite a lovely day." Amelia stopped in her tracks, with a surprised face, clearly taken aback. "Yes, as matter of fact I am indeed headed to the coronation." Just because Amelia was surprised did not mean she had to be rude.

Meera could see that the woman was surprised. "I'm sorry if I frightened you," she said. "But It's not very often I meet people here in the Neck." She studied the young woman. She must be from house Cerwyn, Meera thought. "My daughter is on the way to the coronation as well. Sadly, I couldn't join her." Her stress had made her a bit sick, but she had a responsibility over the crannogmen around here.

Amelia knew that very few noble House lived on the Neck - Riverland border, especially with House Frey being so close. "I'm not frightened, just surprised that someone was out in the Neck alone." She could either be from House Flint or House Reed this far down . . . . , Amelia thought for a minute unsure of which. "Oh, is she now? Well mayhap, I will see her there if I make it in time for the ceremony." Amelia looked off a bit into the distance slightly embarrassed at her timing at this point. "Oh, I'm sorry to hear that. I hope that you are at least doing or rather feeling well though." Amelia bowed her head in concern for the Lady's health. But she knew sometimes not going was better than going, especially with all the wars and grudges between the Houses.
