It was a day like many others for the Lord of Casterly Rock, who had taken advantage of a brief moment of peace to leave the walls of his domain behind him, desiring to have a few moment for himself. Not that he actually disliked his position as patriarch of the Lannister family but, sometimes, he wondered how his life would have been if he was just the son of a farmer rather than the son of the famous Kingslayer... Probably a life more simple than this one, he thought. Sighing slightly, he observed the crow surrounding him, wondering if their life is simpler than his or if they are content with the few they have... Maybe not, maybe yes...

Shaking slightly his head, he continued to walk among the different shops and stalls, listening to the shouts of merchant selling their merchandises, praising the softness of their silks and cottons, the delicate spices coming from all around the world. For once, he was at ease: nobody would have ever imagined that the proud Lord of Casterly Rock was walking without his personal guards to his sides, completely alone and without any other protection than his sword. Which was more than sufficient if he putted himself in trouble.

Leaving the crowded place of the market, he headed towards the docks, desiring to verify if the port of the city was still as well-organized as before, but mostly to satisfy his mere curiosity. Watching the ships moor, the sailors unload their cargo on the docks... It was a sort of soothing contemplation, who both hypnotized and calmed him as he observed this strange ballet. However, his musing was brought to an end as shouts filled the air, coming a few paces away from where he was standing. Frowning, he headed towards the place the shouts were coming from to caught sight a lithe form laying on the ground that a band of sailor was harassing. He accelerated quickly when he finally understood that the victim as a woman and gripped firmly one of man by the arm as he was ready to lay another hit on the poor woman.

I would stop immediately should I be in your place...” He stared at them, his eyes cold and harsh as he silenced them in a glare. “By the Sevens, you should be ashamed of yourselves! Beating a woman...Cowards.

The last word was said in an icy voice, filled with disgust, making the men growls sharply before stopping right away as Phoebus nonchalantly put a hand on his sword's pommel. A clear warning that made the angry men retreat slowly, even if some of men had the boldness to spit out at his feet before disappearing in the crowd of curious. Filth, he thought before kneeling to the woman side, carefully offering his hand to help her stand as he offered her a reassuring smile.

It's alright my Lady, those brutes won't lay a hand on you anymore... Are you hurt?

It was a day like no other, the rush of clean air had come only to be clouded by the results of what had happened. She had not been able to run in time and they had grabbed her. The resulting argument of their foreign words and then her pleas all fell on deaf ears, it seemed no matter where she was no one cared for those who did not look like they were worth the effort. She had struggled and kicked at first but soon had simply relinquished control. It was so easy, it was not her first beating after all.

Then a voice like a soft roar cut through their yelling. Suddenly feeling herself overshadowed by a new figure, she almost could not believe her eyes were it not for the fact that where the sailors had struck still stung in pain. She had stayed there wide eyed, gleaming armor and a cloak of a rich man. Yet he had come to her aide, it was more then a kindness it was a miracle in her eyes. She did not know which of the gods to thank for the miracle but her thoughts on that were soon interrupted by seeing his hand reach down to her. She looked at it at first like it was a viper ready to strike it could easily be mistaken as fear of him after all she had just been stricken by men.

Her eyes of blue however gazed up till she saw his face, for a minute she expected to wake up back in that tight chest hiding away for surely she was mistaken. But then her eyes locked into his own, and she stopped. Blinking gently only to reach out, hesitating a moment before her hand gently placed upon his own. The warming reassurance and protectiveness washed over her like a fresh breeze. He was a noble yes, but one of the rare few men with such aura. In that moment she was no longer afraid of him, offering the smallest of smiles.

"We thank you.... with our heart"

the lyrical flow of her words and the poetic if strange phrasing indicating the young woman was indeed a foreigner from more then likely one of the free cities.

Poor soul, he thought as he saw the uneasiness in her eyes as she looked at his hand with fear, as if she would burn herself if she accepted it. What could she have been through to react in such a way? Sadness washed over him as he still hold out his hand to her, patiently waiting for her to accept it and ignoring the glances that sailors shot at them, his attention entirely focused on the poor girl in front of him. How could women be treated in such manners? This was something that he will never be able to understand, for he was too different on many level: too soft-hearted, too much devoted to his people rather than his glory and success... Life was such a precious thing: it was something that should be treated with the greatest respect.

His thoughts came to an end when a small hand finally reposed into his, so fragile in comparison of his own. A soft smile flourished on his lips, trying to reassure her as he helped her to get up slowly, ready to help her at any sign of sudden weakness in her legs nor body. She seemed so frail, as if she would break if the wind will blow too harshly. A small and shy creature who seemed far too frail to be all alone in such place as Lannisport's docks.

It was with surprise that he watched her speak softly, her voice dancing in the air, a lyrical accent warming her words. A foreigner... Phoebus was almost certain that he had heard it before during one of his travels, but couldn't quite place it with precision... Probably from Essos but a to say where exactly, it was difficult for this land has too many languages in many places. However, this girl's voice was pleasant to the ears, almost singing in the air. Smiling a little more softly, he looked at her kindly before saying in a warm voice.

There's no need to thank me young Lady. It was the least I could do

Releasing her hand, knowing that it could be considered as misplaced in many cultures, he let his posture relax a little even as he kept watching with attention the whereabouts of the sailors around them, ready to move should the men from before appear again. Such cowards were capable of the worse when offended after all. Still, he turned to the young woman again, smiling kindly at her.

Most importantly y Lady, are you feeling alright? Those brutes have been harsh on you... Should I escort you to a healer?

Her hand held his a bit tighter as she was helped up to her feet once again, she was covered with naught but dirty rags for clothing. She was thin from lack of nourishment, dirty, what could be lovely brown hair matted and tangled, the young woman probably had seen better days. But her eyes her eyes looked at him, I mean very truly looked at him for a moment as their eyes met. It was like she stared right into his soul and she was silent for a moment still holding unto his hand before she smiled a genuine smile before letting go. He was no danger to her, he was kind and gentle but also very regal and proud.... very much like the lion icon upon his armor.

She lowered her gaze bowing his head to him as he mentioned that perhaps she should be taken to a healer but she knew how that would end and it was naught but bruises upon her flesh. Though now that she was here she was not quite sure what she should do, the plan to run had been successful. Perhaps she would have to rely on her old work, she did not know but the point was she had no coins only the cloths on her back.

"We.... are no innocent on that, but thank you for your aid. But no healer no coin, you do not need to be troubled"

She stated though she silently wished he would be, she very much liked this man.... but he was a noble or some high knight perhaps she could not bother him. Even though the second she looked into his eyes she had felt more at peace then she had in years.

".... Mira of Lyss... my name that is... forgive me for being rude"
