Jeor was standing in front of the large fireplace in the common room, he liked that place: it was there that they used to spend most of their times as a family. He had seen his girls and boys grow up there, it was the place where they stayed during rainy days or where Damian stayed when he wasn't allowed outside. The twins always hid there when Anne was looking for them. There Anne taught how to spin at Jane and tried with Eilonwy, too. Jane... at that name Jeor sighed loudly. How could it have happen to his little Janey? That was a fate that he could have never expected for his oldest daughter, for her and her husband.
Lost in his thoughts, Jeor closed his hand into a fist still staring in the fireplace. He didn't even notice Anne entering in the room.
