All right. Then he had to think out a another way. He started to follow her.

After some time they eventually came across a deer, in fact something very rare for Naerys. She was just about to get out her bow and ready an arrow to shoot it but fate made her decide to do otherwise since now a baby deer was to see as well. "Stupid feelings." She muttered annoyed as she put back her bow again.

He decided to not tease her for this. It was indeed very rare to come across a deer and they were indeed beautiful creatures. He patted gently on her shoulder, the look in his eyes telling her that they could hunt for something else.

Some time later they eventually came across some bunnies, quite a lot of them. With a tempting smirk she turned to John. "Up for a treat commander? If so, how about you get us the meal?"

"If that is a challenge, then I'll gladly accept!" But how should he do it? If he had a snare, it would have been simple, but he didn't have one. And he couldn't exactly ambush them either, they were really quick creatures. His hand went to the dagger. He actually had talent with throwing daggers. He took the dagger and aimed, he was about to throw it when Naerys hawk just came and killed one of the rabbits. The rest of them fled. "Hey!" he complained. "It was me who was going to take it!" The hawk didn't seem to care about it. In fact, it looked like it was mocking him.

Naerys couldn´t help herself but to laugh, actually even really loud. Even she hadn´t seen this coming. Minha however happily landed on Johns shoulder, using him as seat to start enjoying her prey and only looked up to teasingly look at him, her beak filled with some of the rabbits flesh. "Minha!" Naerys shouted angryly though still laughing. "Bad hawk!" Making Minha fly away with the dead bird she however grabed John at his coat and pulled him to her for another kiss, a much longer and passionate one this time though. "I appreciate the try."

As Minha landed on his shoulder, he gave the hawk an furious look. If only looks could kill. Finaly the hawk flied away and to his surprise, Naerys grabbed him and kissed him. And truth to be told, he enjoyed the kiss. "Give me another try?" he asked.

"Of course. Go ahead." She said backing off again with a wink.

John followed the tracks from the rabbits and after a little walk he found them gathered in a group. He found his dagger again and looked around. He had to make sure that Minha hadn't followed him, he didn't want to give that damn hawk the pleasure to mock him again. He aimed again, holding his breath. Then he threw it and took one of the rabbits. It was a big one. Satisfied, he showed it to Naerys.

Clapping her hands she approached him. "Well done John." She said with a smile. "Now shall we make a fire or do you want to go for another one?"

"Think it's big enough for us both, since your hawk already have eaten," John said, giving the hawk a glare as it sat down on Naerys shoulder. But it didn't seem it was offended by his words. He swore that he could see that the hawk had a teasing look in it's eyes.

"Well then, let´s make it eatable." She replied as she started to place some wood on the ground before making a fire with them. "You can take a seat and take care of the fire from here on. I´ll handle the rabbit." Said done, and only some minutes later the rabbit already was hanging over the fire to get roasted.

"All right," John replied and watched over the fire, adding some more wood before the rabbit was hanging over the fire.

Sitting next to him Naerys leaned against John, letting her head rest on his shoulder. "Why don´t you tell me some more about you? Where are you from for example and how did you become a crow, not to mention their commander?"

John watched over the rabbit, making sure it didn't get burnt. "I was born in the south, in a place called King's Landing," he started. "My cousin was the heir of our home, so I didn't have a special place. I was just trained for combat my entire life." He was silent for a moment and leaned his head at Naerys head. "I actually got jealous, my cousins got to be lords, ladies, married into great wealth. But I wished to matter to. When I was eighteen, I decided to join the nights watch. And for the first time, I felt that my talents were appreciated." He turned the rabbit again over the fire. It smelled delicious. "I was a ranger for years, and when the commander got sick and died, it was elected that I became the new commander. I was only twenty nine then."

"Is your society really like that? Giving the heir everything and leaving out everyone else? That´s ... kinda stupid. And you call us barbarians." She snorted, unable to really understand the ways of southers as in the free folk everyone was able to make their on standing or name, they actually even had to do that by themselves. "I´m happy though you ended up here. Otherwise we would have never met or well who knows I might or rather actually would most likely be already dead." Naerys replied gently putting her hand over his for a squeeze. "Only twenty nine? Are you really that old already? I´m not even that age yet."

"That's just how it his. But if my cousins had ashamed our family or died, then I would have become the heir." It was weird to think back to that time. "But you're right. If I hadn't joined the nights watch, then I wouldn't have met you. I would most probably be married to a woman I didn't like." He gently returned the squeeze in her hand. "Been the commander for five years now. How olde are ou exactly then?"

"Well you never know. Maybe you would have loved your wife and have a family now you´d do anything for as would they for you. But as a crow neither is allowed for you isn´t it?" She asked, actually being sad for him even though didn´t know why exactly. However the question about her age made her frown though smirk right after. "I don´t know what you got told or teached but asking a woman about her age still in more than not nice. Well ... since it´s you who asked me I´ll make an exception though. I´m 9, years younger than you as it seems then."

"Then I apologies, might have been spending to much time with other males," John said. He looked at her when she told him about her age. "Nine years younger? You actually look like you're eighteen!" That was meant as a compliment to her.

"Oh! So I´m like a young chicken in your eyes? Lemme guess, you even like them young and innocent don´t you? Tze!" She pouted, cornering her eyes before she crossed her arms as she turned away from him. Men!

Great job John! Now you offended her! "It was meant as a nice thing." Seven hells, I'm just trying to be nice. "What I was trying to say, is that you're special from other ladies in the south. You're a free woman, you can do whatever you want, while other ladies can't. You're even the most bravest woman I've ever met."

"At least you know how to save yourself crow." She replied turning back to him, even with a smile after he complimented her braveness, one of the few things she dared to be proud of in her mind. Finally though the rabbit was finished roasting so Naerys carefully took it away from the fire and held it between her and John so they could eat it right away, when it got a tiny bit colder ofc though.

Phew! "And thanks to you, I didn't get killed by those white walkers!" John said with a smile. While they waited for the rabbit to get cooled, John sharpened his dagger. "Since I have told you my story, what about you tell me about yourself? Like how you got friend with your hawk?"

"Ha I don´t even want to know how they´d have killed me if you hadn´t been there." She replied before taking a deep breath before telling him the story of her and Minha. "Well there isn´t that much to know about us. I found her when was just a baby, without any parent left so I raised her and yeah that´s it. From that they on she´s my best friend. Well besides my brother of course."

"That's cute, just like one of the noble families in the north. Only that they found dire wolves." John had indeed heard about when Ned Stark and his sons had found the pups and took them in, and if he remembered right, Proteus Stark also had a dire wolf.
