The world looks beautiful for me and him

Megara was glad when they finally anchored at White Harbor. She didn't really feel healthy on the ship. When her feet touched the ground, she felt better right away. Here nothing was seesawing. Great. She smiled a little and then looked around. It was early morning but many people were already at the harbor, hasting around.

"Good Morning mylady.", Kian nodded towards Athena. He had been awake since an early time, woken up by the Captain as they reached White Harbor. There had already been a lot of things to do and at the moment he was helping the workers with his merchandise.

He leaned forward to a worker and they talked a bit, before he left and walked next to the brunette woman that had been his guest on the ship for quite some time. " How did you sleep?", he asked her politely as every morning, reaching her his hand and helping the last steps to the landing stage.

"Good Morning, Mr Innis", she said with a smile. "Good, thank you.", she answered like every morning. Even if she really had problems with sleeping on the ship, but the more time she had spend on it, the better she slept. Last night she slept quite good, so it wasn't a lie this time. He always have been very busy on the ship, so she played a lot with his daughter Malea. And even if she got seasick, she loved the sight of the open sea. It was really beautiful, she could understand the sailors who loved being on a ship for all their lifes. But that wouldn't be something for her. Not for her stomach.

"I hope you enjoyed the travel at least a bit.", Kian gave her a warm smile. He assumed she would leave them soon enough, cause she was on a journey herself and he just someone she met and who could help her. "I'm sure you might find some merchants with helpful information for your journey at the marketplace of White Harbour."

Her heart skipped a beat when she looked into his face, giving her this smile.. She smiled herself. "I did."

She was brought up short by his words. They sounded like a goodbye... "Well, I hope so.." She felt that he was expecting her to leave now but she didn't make a step. She looked unsure at him. "Thank you again for taking me with you on your ship, Mr Innis", she said slowly.

"It was a pleasure.", he answered with a soft smile. She seemed to be unhappy now, though before she smiled. "Did something make you upset on the ship?", he asked concerned. Kian didn't noticed something went wrong, but he had been busy a lot. He was thankful she cared for Malea.

She smiled again and shook her head. "No, everything was just fine." She paused for a moment. "I guess.. I should go now.", she said and went past him. Maybe it was better this way. She should get back to her own business. He was just a distraction.... She sighed. She wanted to take a look over her shoulder, but she resisted.

Kian looked after her and thought. Something had made her upset, although she pretended it was fine. He just couldn't figure out why. Was it something he said? Or done? He stroke through his brown hair. He hadn't assumed her to leave so fast, just after some hours. His glance fell on his workers and the duties he had to do. Then back to Athena. She almost left the street that lead to the market.

Kian sighed and walked after her. He took her hand and stopped her from walking. "Wait. What is wrong?"

She didn't notive him following her until he touched her hand. She winced at it shortly and then turned around to him, letting him continue holding her hand. "Oh.. well.. nothing at all.", she said, still a little surprised. "I was just having a small seasickness I guess", she smiled sneering. She didn't expect him to come after her after the first few steps she had taken. But she liked it very much that he did. Even if she wouldn't tell him that she wanted to stay with him..

Kian frowned. "You're lying.", she acted weird. Her smile felt wrong and it irritated him. How should he figure out what was wrong, when she didn't talk to him? When she was making excuses? He didn't liked to see her upset. It made him feel uncomfortable. He pulled her closer, laying his hands on her waist. "Tell me what's wrong."

She felt her heartbeat going faster as he pulled her against him. Slowly she looked up into his eyes. She ran out of excuses and somehow she felt that he wouldn't stop asking what was wrong until she told him the truth. A long moment she didn't say anything and just looked into his eyes, deliberative.

Finally she said low: "I just.. wanna stay with you" While talking she lowered her glance. It was very hard for her to say that. And embarassing, too.

Kian loosened up the grip around her waist and looked at her surprised. Then he layed his head in his neck and laughed. "If you want to stay, why don't you?", his eyes shimmering amused. "I don't mind if you stay longer, and I'm sure Malea won't either."

He took her hand and pulled Athena back with him to the landing scape. "I hope you don't mind, that I have to work from time to time. But if you want to, you can help.", he looked at her behind him.

When he started to laugh, she felt really bad. It wasn't funny for her in any way. But when he said why she didn't just stay, she batted her eyes surprised. Could it really be that easy..? Well.... it seemed to be, at least for him. She let him pull her back to the ship. "No, no, I know you need to work. Of course, just tell me what I could do!", she said finally. She still was surprised by his reaction.

Kian smiled warm. He let go of her hand. But how could she help him? He didn't wanted to ask her to take care of Malea again. His glance fell on the chests. "You could help me looking after the merchandise. I need to see if everything came here unbroken and without any damage. I can't sell broken merchandise. It keeps the customers away.", he walked towards some chests and opened them. "Just look inside and tell me what you see, or if you see something is wrong.", he didn't need paper to write down things, he just remembered well, what he brought with him.

"Oh, yes, sure. I can do that!", sha answered and took a look into the chests. Then she looked back at him, with a teasing smile. "Are you sure you can trust me that I won't run away with something?"

He smirked. "You don't want to get in trouble for stealing something you might have gotten as present, if you asked for it.", he shrugged. "If you want to, go ahead. I just don't assume you to be someone who likes trouble which would end you being beheaded.", his sad went slightly sad. "It would be a pity."

"So you would give me everything I wanted if I asked for it?", she laughed. She didn't believe he would do  that. Maybe with a small thing...She looked at him. He seemed to be honest. She smiled and shook her head. "You know I can use it for nothing. And I really don't need trouble at all~", she said and sat down in front of the big chests. "So, where should I put the things which aren't broken? And the ones which are?", she said and looked up to him.

"I already offered you something at Lannisport.", he shrugged. "You denied it, but the offer is still free to use.", he walked a few steps away to give her some space and to have a better look himself. "Leave the unbroken in the chest and put the broken ones aside the boxes.", he ordered her to do gently. "If you are unsure, just tell me what you see and I tell you what to do.", Kian moved around and started to work on a few bigger boxes.

"Aye-aye, Sir", she smirked and started looking at the things. Getting the merchandaries out of the chest one by one and looked at them. They were all very goldy and shimmering. Such things only the most wealthy people have in their houses. She turned every thing around and around, but they all seemed to be unbroken. Not a miracle, because they were neat wrapped into foulards. After she took a look at everything, she wrapped it agan int the foulards and put them back into the chest carefully.

Kian looked through his boxes quietly and focused. For now nothing seemed to be broken and he was glad. It would've been a pity if something got broken and he would've to disappoint a possible customer. For as he heard, Athena was doing fine behind him and everything worked out well. Tomorrow he would be able to sell the merchandise on the market to the riches and not so wealthy. Kian moved on to a few smaller chests. The first thing he took out of it this time was a small toy.

Meg looked through three more chests before something catched her eye. She gasped for breath when she unwrapped a small chain with a pendant. She opened it with the secret mechanism it had and her glance fell on a purple gem on the right and an engraved text on the other side. It said "In eternal love, Mum and Dad". She couldn't believe what she found here. It was a gift she had recieved from her parents for her birth. She thought it would have been lost forever, when she had to flee from her home... She closed her eyes to hold her tears back. After a moment she closed the pendant, stood up and went over to Kian. "Mr Innis...", she said low, "Please tell me.... where did you get this from?" She showed him the chain she just found.

Kian turned around, the small toy in his hand. He looked at Athena, then the chain and back to her. It seemed to keep her occupied. Somehow funny she found it. "I got it from a merchant a while ago...", he answered slowly. Within all the years he owned it, he wasn't able to sell it. It wasn't that there was no one interested in it, some people were, he just told he wouldn't sell it.

He didn't knew where his befriended merchant got it from. Never asked. Actually Kian wondered why it ended up being in one of the boxes for to be sold merchandise again, when he ordered to put it somewhere else.

"Is it.. Who was it? And where did he find it? Eh, I mean... it's so pretty, I'm just wondering...", she explained. Hoping he wouldn't notice her nervosity. Maybe this other merchant got it from the thief and she could find him this way... She was full of hope. And also she knew that she couldn't keep the chain.... it would be too obvious. Before everything else, it was more than an accident that she had the chain and asked everyone about her family. She would be seen through too easily. That made her really sad.... but... maybe when she wouldn't wear it on her neck....She sighed in her mind.

"The merchant was a good friend of mine. I don't know where he got it from, I never asked. I'm not even sure if you could find him to ask, cause he was old when he gave it to me and he might be dead now.", Kian frowned. "Why are you asking?", those were quite unusual questions, just for a so said pretty chain.

Her hope burst while he was talking. "Oh, it's just... I've been looking for a chain like this one here.. My mother had one and I wanted to have a similar one, too. So..I thought he could have told me where it was made...", she explained. Hopefully he believed her. She wasn't able to think of a better reason so fast right now. She smiled slightly.
