Meeting in the the throne room

Dymas couldn’t say that he had managed to sleep well after the attempt of assassination. And it was the second one in just a little time… his concern was perfectly understandable. He wished his nephew was still there, but his stupid ideas of looking for alliances so far from home had brought him so far away. Now he had to face this emergency on his own, he didn’t trust to write down such news and beside what good would be to worry his nephew if he was so far and couldn’t do anything?
Meanwhile, though, no matter how concerned he was life had to go on. As every morning he took care of some kingdom’s businesses, but in the late morning, as he had done with his duties, he knew he had one more thing he needed to take care of.
He asked one servant to go and bring to him the servant girl that had risked her life for him. He had to give her some sort of reward, but he was having problems thinking of what.

Eire followed her fellow servant to lord Dymas's room. Wondering what he wanted with her. Perhaps she was in trouble of some sort. Going through her mind what it could be that she failed to do.
The shirt. It was probably about the ruined shirt.
Once she was escorted before Dymas she bowed like she ought to. Waiting for him to speak to her first as conduct commanded.

As Dymas saw the girl entering the room he smiled warmly to her.
"Please, my girl, no need of that today: today, in this room, you are a hero. If anyone should bow, that should be me." It wasn't like Dymas didn't know or didn't like the rules of nobility, he just valued gratitude as ones of the most important thing a honorable man should consider his priority.
"Do you know why I called you here?"

Eire smiled gently, trying to act as natural as she could. It was hard to shake off the mindset of the slave girl. "No my lord. I wasn't told why you called me here. Is something the matter?"

"Nothing's the matter, my dear." he replied waving away such a bad idea "I called you here because your brave actions deserve a reward" he smiled gently toward her "I tried to think of a proper gift, but I couldn't think any. So let me ask you, what would you wish for?"

Eire almost had her jaw drop at the question. What did she want? She didn't know the answer to that herself.
She didn't need material stuff. She wouldn't need jewels or money. She was content in her life. Except.... "uhmm...." She started a little unsure if she could bother him with such a task. "This one had sisters in Lys.... Three of them.... This one would like to know.... If they are happy...." She dared to look up at him a little timid. "If it is not too much trouble for your lordship...."

Dymas waited patiently for the girl's answer, and when she started talking he listened carefully. "What you ask is not much, my dear, and I'll be sure to gather all the informations about your sisters. But isn't there anything else you'd want? You saved the life of a member of the royal family, you can ask for whatever your hearts desire."

She felt her cheeks blush. Happy that she could find out what became of her sisters and if they weren't happy perhaps she could try to help them in some way. "Thank you my lord. This one values the knowledge of what happened to her sisters just as much as she does your life." She said bending down to perform a curtsy to him. "That is more than fair."

"I'm happy to help you with something you care so much about..." he replied with a nod, but he was a bit perplex: it was far too little, he wanted to give her something more... then an idea hit him "My girl, what would you say about being my personal maid? You'd have a big room next to my chambers and you would have less responsibilities to handle." That was actually something he would have liked: he needed trusted people around him and the girl had showed how faithful she was... and how much she could handle too, even looking so little and frail!

She was sure her heart skipped a beat. Or that she misheard him. Did he just suggest for her to become his personal maid?
She could see him stare at her, waiting for her answer no doubt. Did she really need the time to think? No, not really. She was just surprised. "This one would be honored to." She responded with a big smile.

Dymas smiled fondly to the girl. "Perfect then. I'll have some other servant informing you on your new duties, but first you'll have to give my guards all the details about your sisters, they'll need them if they wanna succeed in finding them." Still smiling, he gestured toward the door, starting to walk toward there himself "My master, here, will escort you." he said, entrusting her to the old man. "Now you will excuse me, other duties request my presence" he bowed his head toward her and left her side, getting back toward the throne.

Eire curtsied and exited the room. Excited to know about her sisters. Hoping they were as happy as she was. Leaving with the master to tell him everything she knew that would help them.
