When you return...

Eric didn't show how surprised he actually was, but he really, really was. He did remember those times, he did remember when their parents just wanted them and especially Tycho just to study and behave, when all his good intention always crushed against boredom and the call of a new game... he remembered how fun he had back then with his brother... how much he enjoyed riding or hunting or going to swim in some new hidden place, or climb tall trees... and he remembered the hard punishments as well, the tears they both cried, the anger of his parents and of Tycho... he didn't think his brother could be too fond on this memories...
"I doubt you'd like much if I tried to involve you in any of my pastimes, brother" he shrugged with a smile. He was right, past times weren't destined to come back....

He laughed a little. Well that was true. Tycho wasn't much of a fighter. Nor was he into sleeping around with the same vigor that his brother seemed to have. Wondering had that vigor lessened at all during his time at the wall.
"Granted I never learned how to have fun, so I doubt I'd learn that at this age. But is there anything else we could find common interests in brother?"

Eric didn't know what to answer: on one side, he just wanted to run away from this uncomfortability, on the other, though... it really looked like Tycho was stretching toward him, that he was trying to create a bond. "Maybe... we could go hunt together..." Eric never liked hunting, but he was good at it and it was a reasonable and honorable activity

Tycho flashed his brother a smile. "Sure. That would be nice." He laughed and placed his arm on Eric's shoulder in a brotherly manner. "Although you might have to teach me. I was never that good at hunting."

As his brother placed a hand around his shoulder, he hid his uneasiness under a laugh "There's not much to teach: you spot an animal and then you kill it." He teased shrugging, knowing that they both knew that there was much more than that.

He laughed at the joke and patted his brother's back. "Come. Let's go inside and have a drink or two. And reminisce old times." He said starting to lead his brother back inside.

Eric had to go. He knew he had to... but... what the hell! A drink or two and a little wait would hurt nobody, the commander just had to deal with a little delay. Smiling he followed his brother inside. No matter how uneasy and uncomfortable he was around him... he was still his brother.
