Is Sorry Okay?

Despite the drama her morning contained, the day was passing as if no one on the ship knew that Naveen and Anya were at each other's throats; then at each other's throats. Which scared Anya because she had never done something like that before. Like she'd established, she was daddy's little girl; she was always under him. The most fun she'd ever had had been in the private walls of her home with the servants. Which, in comparison to the other women her age was nothing at all.

Still, she found her behavior inexcusable. She felt as if she were letting herself down...or something along those lines. Naveen wasn't kind enough to allow her on his ship which actually was true, but in Anya's eyes it wasn't since she threatened to go to Lina if he didn't oblige to her request. But nonetheless it wasn't right of her to verbally attack him the way she did. Pulling Sinbad into it only made it worse. And as for Naveen and Anya's physical...altercation, she tried her best not to think about it because it made her feel all warm and tingly in her belly as it had when he had her against the wall. She personally had enjoyed it but the circumstances of it made it difficult for her to swallow.

So here she was now, debating whether or not she should confront Naveen about the situation. She didn't know if he'd snap at her, in which case she'd snap back. And she also couldn't avoid him all the time. So as usual, she decided to face the problem head on, as she did everything. She adjusts her borrowed attire and steps onto the deck. She spotted Naveen immediately. He stood out to her, and without hesitation she strides over to him. "Do you have a moment to spare?" She asks him in a strong voice.

Naveen stared out into the sea. He heard the waves crash against the shop and smelled the salt and felt the brisk coldness from being in North waters. It was a little chilly, but he still felt the heat of the adrenaline from earlier. In his mind, Naveen created a fantasy in his head that he would be able to avoid the situation if he just ran away from his problems like he used to. It'd be a life away from his crazy siblings, no responsibility as Head, telling stories in bars full of beer, wine, and women. But that wasn't possible, nor did he feel as much desire for the fantasy, strangely.

His thoughts broke to the sound of Anya's voice. She was standing near him and he only glanced at her before he looked back out to the water. "This is about what happened, right?" It was a question, but he didn't say it like it was one.

Anya's wits wanted her to roll her eyes and tell him, "Obviously." But she didn't. She bit her tongue for a few moments. She almost felt like telling him about how she used to wish she were a fish so that she could swim away. Far away from home while enjoying the feel of the water. But she decided not to, she was feeling awkward enough standing beside him.

Anya's hands move up to her necklace. Her thumb running over the insignia. "Um..." She looks up at him. "What...what was that about?" She demands, just coming right out with it. Beating around the bush wasn't her thing, as they all knew.

He glanced back to her and brought his attention to her. She was pretty, and if they were to go... anywhere, he wasn't the kind of guy that she should have. Truth be told, he didn't exactly know what to say to her. Naveen wondered if he should avoid the question to protect both of them.

"It was just a kiss," he said kind of quietly. It wasn't really just a kiss, not the way they were doing it at least. Anya kept carrying herself with that odd confidence that Naveen still thought was pretty damn attractive. The edge of his lip rose only very slightly in a smirk. "Here to file a complaint to the captain?"

Anya huffs heavily, dropping her hands and leaning her arm against the railing. Wow did she hate that. How she hated it when people didn't tell her how it is. She raises her hand to her hair, blowing around in the wind to hold it in place. She also didn't like lack of honesty to oneself.

"It wasn't just a kiss." She exclaims, saying exactly what she thought. She knew he knew better than that. But she also wasn't going to let it go for the simple fact that she didn't want to. She...was finding it difficult to admit that she may be growing an attraction (probably more). "So what if I do? What are you going to do about it? Make me walk the plank?" She turns away from him and pushes her back against the railing.

"I just want to know." She snaps. "So tell me why. Tell me why you did it."

Naveen didn't expect to her to react like that all. He blinked at her. He almost got mad at her again for reacting so strongly, but he just turned fully towards her this time and looked her in the eyes.

"I don't know. I just did it," he said frustrated. "Maybe I was just trying to shut you up, huh? And I don't know why you're so mad, it didn't seem like you had much of a problem with it." He huffed out. Maybe if he acted cold to her then she wouldn't end up making any stupid choices with him. His feelings towards her were complicated.

Anya huffs again, giving him a strong glare. "That much was obvious." Anya mumbles. "I don't--didn't have a problem with it." She admits. "I don't regret it, if that's what you're wondering. But what does frustrate me is that you're still acting like an ass." Anya clarifies.

"Is it me that scares you? Is it having feelings that scares you, or is it feelings for me specifically? Because based on last night and right now, when you act like you absolutely hate me for no reason at all, it means you have an unrelenting attraction towards me." Anya smirks haughtily.

Naveen raises his head a little bit. "I'm not scared of you," he clarifies as he raises his eyebrow.

"You want to hear the truth about why I did it?" He said with almost a little smirk in his face. "Life is short, and you are hot. That's it. No feelings involved." He kinda said it in a way so that he could bring himself to believe that statement too. She was right on the fact that he was being an ass. But maybe that would make her go away. He couldn't do anything for her. Girls like her didn't end up with guys like him, and for a reason. "Did you come up here expecting a marriage proposal?" Naveen teased as he looked back away and towards the water.

Anya couldn't help but feel a pain in her chest when he said that she was just hot. Anya may have been stuck in the house a lot of the time, but just for that same reason she knew better than to actually believe him. She spent a lot of time observing others. But she also had reasoning on her side. If her father taught her anything, it was that men never meant a word they said if they were smiling.

"Really?" She inquires. "I'm not leaving. If you really meant that then you would've made a move last night or at the party. Not early in the morning after I slap you." Anya wondered if her really thought of her as a princess--making him unworthy of her. Well maybe if he'd listen to what she had to say, he could hear more about her. "No I don't want one this soon." She teases, smirking at him.

Naveen sighed quietly."Well, you'll be getting one soon." He looked over at her eyes, trying to read them. "You're young and an heiress to the Tyrell house, you'll still have suitors flocking to you by the dozens." He said in a way that made it sound like he was almost defeated. He was just kind of tired and stressed, and whatever his feelings towards her were only adding more complications. Maybe things would have been easier if he just didn't agree to let her aboard.

"Anyway. You got your answer," he spoke. "So why are you still here?"

"I can't get one soon if I'm nowhere to be found, now can I?" Anya points out. "And I've had suitors before. They were all no good." Anya was rather picky when it came to men. "They were all so stiff...like you. Duty this, honor that." Anya turns back to the ocean. "Men are all the same. Especially the head of the house." Anya pauses. "Maybe I need to pretend to be someone else. Marry a farmer or something." Anya pressed her lips together. "I actually don't know why I'm still here." She says bitterly. "I don't know why I thought differently of you. Just because you show more emotion and because you were a bit honest." Her eyes fall. "It was my mistake..."

Naveen closed his eyes, taking a deep breath. The stubborn pride that all ironfolk possessed began to kick in and he knew he had to correct things. "No," he announced before she could continue with her words. He reached for her hand and held it gently. It was a different kind of gentle, not the political kind that he had done at the coronation to impress the people around him, but a heartfelt tenderness almost. His smug smirk had faded from his face.

"Anya," he began. He didn't want her to think that way of him, even though he knew they couldn't become anything. "I-" do have feelings for you. At the last second, he changed his mind when he remembered his earlier thoughts.  "-I'm sorry... for yelling. And scaring you. And lying. And..." Naveen trailed off, realizing how much of a jerk he had really been. "I'm just sorry for being a complete ass to you. Please forgive me."

It sounded like a defeat, but it didn't feel that way.

Anya couldn't understand what his problem was. Either he liked her or he didn't. Either he was fighting the feelings or fighting her feelings. She couldn't tell. She knew she was starting to hate him for attracting her with his looks and the way he didn't back away or grow angry to the point he couldn't even hear her name.

She narrows her eyes at him. "You don't scare me." Anya says. "I accept your apology, but I don't forgive you because you're doing it again, just like the rest of them." She answers the question before he can ask it. "Lying. You all get that attractive expression, and apologize as if you really mean it. I wonder, do you all have a gathering to trade ways to mess with females?" She demands. "Well it's not going to work on me." She whirls and starts to walk away.

It was true. And he was sure he had done that before too. But she was different, and he was... trying to be different.

Naveen walked right to her and held her hand to stop her from continuing. "Anya," he says in a soft plea. "I've been all over the place, and I know that I haven't been very clear about the way I feel about you, and I'm not entirely sure yet either, but what I do know is that I don't want you to leave." he stepped around her to see her face and he brought his other hand to her chin to look her in the eyes. He didn't want things to end like that. "Don't leave, please." He repeated, but softer this time.

In truth, Anya didn't know what she was feeling now. She also didn't know how to react. No man had ever said anything like that to her before--and if they weren't getting sex from her, then she wasn't worth the trouble of marriage.

She looked up at Naveen's hazel eyes. Wow. She liked those. She liked them a lot. She liked him too. She knew she did, she could feel it. Anya didn't move when Naveen caught her hand or raised her chin. She paused a few moments, trying to understand if he was serious or not. "I..." She sighs, closing her eyes before gently breaking his hold of her chin. "Well...I have feelings for you. If you're wondering." By this point it was obvious she didn't hide much. "But I tend to fall easy." She pulls her hand gently from his. "But I won't leave. I don't know why you don't want me to, but I won't. I'm right here."

Naveen watched as she pulled herself away from him slowly. He felt himself leaning in towards her. "The reason is that I also feel something between us." He brought his lip to hers. It was an incredibly much softer kiss than earlier and he only paused for a second, letting her make a decision and he pulled back a little bit to look into her pretty blue eyes. "Give me a chance to make it up to you."

Anya felt a bit dazed after Naveen kissed her. In comparison to their earlier encounter, it was sweet and soft. She blinked, trying to figure out if this were real life or not. It didn't feel very real to her. She always dreamed of things like this, and now that it was happening, it didn't even seemed believable, nor was it very glamorous.

Anya could feel her body gravitating towards him as she rocked forward on her tiptoes, following his mouth but never touching it a second time. "How?" She murmurs, raising her eyes to him and leaning away; her own voice seemed to severe the trance.

He answered by bringing his face close to hers again, letting their lips glide over each other once more. Naveen caressed her face and continued to kiss her tenderly. He didn't want to rush things and have them end up as a one-time fling, but he had to admit that he was left urging to kiss her again after they were brought to an abrupt stop earlier. "Let's start where we left off." He whispered in between kisses as he played with a strand of her hair. He wasn't getting to into it, intending for her to still make the ultimate decisions.

Anya was growing into a daze. It was odd for her to succumb so quickly. But she almost immediately started questioning him again. His kiss had left her in another trance. "Pick up where we left off?" She echoes, blinking a few times. She decided her mind wasn’t working straight, but her body was functioning exactly as it should.

So she stepped up closer to him and wrapped her arms around his neck, pulling him close as she returns his kiss with fire. Anya wasn’t one for the slow sensual kisses sometimes. And this was one of those times. She held him close to her, her nails digging into his shirt.

This was way more out in the open than below in the cabins, but he didn't know where they were going to go, or what they were gonna do on this rendezvous. All he did know was that his feelings for her were her very mixed, but certainly there, and he wouldn't think more about it until later.

Her sudden passion surprised him, but then again, maybe it wasn't too surprising based on what they were doing earlier that very morning. Nor did Naveen mind it at all. He returned the fire by bringing his hands around her waist and holding her close just as she did to him.
